Not sure if this was put in the wrong casing in the factory or what. Anyone seen one before? Come with a later print or....?

I have finally received this in the mail, it's not completely black. The back half of it is clear red, looks completely legit as well. It's a 59 block memory card. Here are some more pics

Don't quote me on this but I think the stickers came separate.

We are soldiers without borders, our purpose defined by the Era we live in; we will sometimes have to sell ourselves and services. If the times demand it, we'll be revolutionaries, criminals, terrorists.
And yes, we may all be headed straight to Hell, but what better place for us than this? It is our only home.
Our Heaven, and our Hell.
This, is Outer Heaven.

Nah, I remember buying Animal Crossing new and the card already had the sticker on it.

Are you sure it's only a 59? The black cards area 251. Otherwise, someone just swapped stickers, or it's some sort of fake.

Something is irking me to say it's a later print. This isn't the first time I've seen this. Please do update with what the memory is (59 or 251).

So both are 59 blocks? Do you know if they are PAL games?

Hmm, cool. I think there was another thread on this same style card, but it didn't have a sticker. It's hard to say why it was pieced like this. Some sort of screw-up on a batch of memory cards on the production line? Possibly leftovers for some last-run batches? I'm not sure.

Is it possible the answer is just as simple as someone got that red/black card out of the pokemon box game and just shoved the AC sticker on it? Pokemon Box came out after AC and all I've ever seen were the gray ones with the green sticker on it with the cat. Unless they ran low and did this or mismatched in later pressings perhaps players choice someone might have just did their own thing.

I know it's not unheard of I was just wondering if anybody had any idea which specific release this version of the card came with, or if it was just random.

And no, nobody swapped the stickers. The chances of me ordering one from eBay that was red/black and then finding another one that is red/black locally is slim to none if somebody had made it. Plus, as guest4nes above stated, it's red/blue. Not red/black.

I would say its a 90% chance of being swapped from a Pokemon box. The inverse of this memory card from a Pokemon box would be blue/black which would look sweet. So I envision a few people might do this.

I would think the same but the sticker would have been swapped because the original Animal Crossing cards are grey and not black. The sticker has clearly not been touched on either one of the two black/red cards I have. I bought one off of eBay when I originally made this post, but I just came across another locally that is exactly the same way. What are the chances of someone buying pokemon box cards (which are expensive as hell and hard to find alone) and flawlessly removing a label and applying a label to a black card (which they also purchased, that's two memory cards now they had to buy to do this) and then taking a grey 59 block card (here's a 3rd card they would purchase) and putting the innards into the front half of the black one and the back half of the pokemon box one. What are the chances of somebody doing that twice?

Haha I was just pulling your leg. It's probably a memory card you could buy seperatly at a store or something. Wouldn't that be cool if it was a hand out though?
