Does anyone else here frame the puzzles that gamestop sells? They make for great game art. The 500 piece puzzles they put out fit a standard frame size, 18x24" I think. The larger, higher quality, 1000 piece ones are 19x27". WTF!?! I've searched all over the place it seems like, and I can't find anyone selling one for less than $30. Now, I'm not completely against a total of $50 for displaying really nice artwork. I don't however understand why no one makes a 19x27" frame. I also don't understand why they would make a puzzle that doesn't fit standard frame dimensions. I've considered just glueing it to a larger board and putting it in a larger frame, but I'd rather not. Any ideas?

19 X 27 isn't a standard image size. Get some matting and use a bigger frame. Try Ikea for frames they have a good selection of cheap frames.

I agree with the post above. You can purchase matte board from any art supply store and cut it down and cut an opening to whatever size you like. Get a larger frame and use the matte to correctly size the image.

I've used ArtToFrame for low end custom frames before because they have styrene, a step down from plexiglass or glass, so it's even cheaper than cheap. But $30 is about the cheapest you can hope in a custom size I think.

Maybe an easy DIY project to make a simple frame or shadowbox?
