The World Cup is over. Time to focus on American Football and bother all the people who hate sports that this thread gets bumped so much.

What are your thoughts/predictions/worries about the 14/15 season? Who is going to win it all? Who is going to bust and who is going to shine?

Thoughts: Watch out for the 49ers. Crabtree is back at full strength and Kaepernick is strong when he is strong. Plus they have Stevie Johnson.

Predictions: Denver, or maybe the Colts or Falcons will win it all.

Worries: Gronk gets injured again. Most teams switch to a RB by committiee scheme messing up my fantasy play.

Rookie of the year: Sankey for the Titans. They have nobody to run the ball...or catch it. He'll be this year's Lacy.

Won't live up to expectations: Marshawn Lynch and Doug Martin. One is old, overworked and injured the other has very respectable backups and is coming off a serious injury.

"Go Patriots..." My expectations are playoffs and out in first round. Surprise me boys!

So, NA, what do you think about the upcoming season?

Falcons? That would be a hell of a turn around. I see the broncos staying pat and washing out in the playoffs again.

I think the chargers will take a major step forward, but I'm bias since they are my team.

In the NFC, I don't see Seattle repeating. San Fran and even the cardinals will keep pace.

What? If Romo is healthy you guys have all the goods to win it all. You have every major position filled by a solid player. QB, WR, RB, TE, hell, even your kicker is pretty decent.

Maybe I'm only thinking in fantasy sense, or maybe you know something I don't see?

I'm a Pats fan as well, I think we are in for a good year and if our Defense can stay healthy we will have a top 5 D. Some thoughts on the upcoming season:
  • I think the teams that surprise people this year will be the Raiders and the Browns
  • RG3 is going to revert to rookie form, would be a good fantasy value this year
  • I can see Indy and KC not being able to breeze through their schedules this year and taking steps back
  • Thursday Night Football continues to be abysmal
  • Saints - Pats (okay or Denver), Super Bowl

I just hope the Lions fail...again...just like every other year. I love watching them throw away their lead and self destruct at the end of every game. I have been a P. Manning fan from back in his days at Tenn so I always root for him. I actually bought my newborn a little Manning jersey to match mine so we can root together

Falcons are going to rebound this year. Barring injury, they have a very good O-line on paper now, and the D-line players are just big and nasty. Hageman has the potential and tools to be great.

I'm feeling good about my Packers. 2nd Year for Lacy, picked up Clinton-Dix from Alabama as well and Julius Peppers. Apparently they are hoping for a faster offense, aiming for 75 plays per game. Let's keep Rodgers on his feet and put up those numbers. The key will be whether our defense can step it up and not allow so many points.

Discount Double Check. GO PACK GO!

Fixed. The dude can't stay healthy....ever. Be fortunate if you get 12 games out of him.

Not happening and people hate what they are scared of....and you are very hateful.

The Niners,Hawks, and Denver will be in the mix. I say look out for Atlanta and Arizona. Arizona's D is one of the best in the NFL. If they can run the ball better, then look out. Atlanta should get back to the way they were in 2012.

Also look for the Chiefs to regress as they will play a tougher schedule than their powder puff one from last year.

Eagles,Bears, and Packers should be playoff teams barring injuries and lots of points should be scored between them.

Expect a bounce back year from Arian Foster. Not going to be AP-like,but I believe he'll have a pro bowl caliber year.

My bold prediction: Brian Hoyer plays well enough to keep Johnny Manziel off the field.

The defense has just been horrible the last 2 years.  Hell Romo put 48 on Denver last year and still had to go back out to try to win the game.  If they can move up from the worst defense to say #20-24 then maybe they can win 10 games and have a chance to do something.  Romo had his 2nd back surgery in the off season.  He wasn't trying to avoid sacks last year, he'd just drop down instead of getting nailed.  So I guess I hope he plays all year or gets hurt early and the team only wins 1 or 2 games and they get a good pick next year.

And just to clarify. Not trying to say you didnt deserve a superbowl win. Im saying i csnt stand the rebuttle to a bad call being a picture of a trophy. Its just kinda lame way to respond.

Its the only way they know how to respond.  Just like when I show this:

All they say is " Who cares about the past! LOL THATS OLD YOUR TEAM SUCKS 12TH MAN 12TH MAN 12thMAN!

WHO CARES ABOUT 5 TROPHIES? OUR 1 IS BETTER.

Who cares about 21 Hall of fame players?  Our 8 is better! Why? 12TH MAN 12TH MAN 12TH MAN!"

Trolling seahawks fans is so simple.

And I agree.  The Seahawks absolutely deserved their win against Denver.  Denver played horrible.
