Greetings ladies, gentlemen and friends from beyind the binary!

We are a small indie team made up of students from Sweden. Currently we are working on a 2D RPG game with focus on a couch co-op experience. The platform we are aiming for release is WiiU, potentially the 3DS and hopefully, in the future, the newly revealed Nintendo Switch.

Going back over 3000 years, these stories of the Kalevala were told through songs, divided up into runes, and have influenced Finnish mythology and folklore. They tell the tales of Väinämöinen the wise old hero with a magical voice, Ilmarinen the smith who crafted the sky dome and forged the mythical Sampo, Joukahainen the rival of Väinämöinen whom he tried to kill with his crossbow, and many others. Still to this day they have an influence in pop culture, most famously in the writings of J.R.R. Tolkien in the Lord of the Rings and the Silmarillion.

At the moment we are looking for anyone that are able to aid in playtesting when we have a playable prototype available. We would be ever grateful to anyone that would be willing to give us their time so that we can in turn deliver a greater experience to all players.

Link to our website for more information and a sign up for anyone that is even remotely interested in the idea. Please tell your friends and family if you think any of them could be interested in this.

Thank you for reading this post. If you have any questions we would be happy to answer them. We look forward to hearing from you.

With regards, Tasteful Games

Sounds interesting.. what kind of graphic style are you aiming for? Any screen shots or anything to share? Is it playable single player as well?

This reminds me that my friends and I never finished the original Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. We tried for years but we'd always start over every time because it had been months since we left off. It just takes so much that the Stars have to align for the same four people to have free time and be in the same place at the same time with all of our Game Boy Advance systems charged at the same place where all the rest of the equipment is (link cables, GameCube, TV, etc).

We were primed and equipped and were basically as ready as the devs could possibly expect, so if we couldn't make it work then I can only imagine that rich kids and game journalists were the only ones to finish that one properly as a 4-player game. Heck, one of us moved to New Mexico, then I moved to California and back. Starting it up again with new players seems to be a dream that died a long time ago.

At least avoid the location pitfall! Enable remote play so we don't all have to be in the same place. Allow some players to continue without others with some kind of replay log to catch anyone up on the details of what happened if anyone get's left out. A replay of the highlights might work.

Found trailer at there FB page. Might be a good idea to add a few photos at your site at least before sharing this. Guess it just got created but just sayin.
I'd be interested in testing. Me and my bro will play co op.
Most people start with PC before going to WiiU and so on I believe. You guys do a Kickstarter or anything?
