Hello everyone and welcome to the latest installment of the Weekly Contests!
Aw shit, y'all, I can tell it's once again that time,
For yours truly to unleash another Bimmy rhyme!
The game of the week is the awesome Marble Madness,
Oh shit, I think I just heard all of you NES geeks shriek out “YES!”
Lots of people think this game is tons and tons of fun,
Especially the pros on NA, whose skills will not be outdone.
Let's get a roll call for all these awesome pros,
Damn these guys are so good, they could play the game with only their toes!
You've got Randy the Tall Guy, who kicks a lot of ass,
And the legendary K-HAN, who's at the top of the Marble Madness class.
And then there's also the one and only Mog,
Whose incredible scores show he is this game's top dog.
And last, but not least, we have my favorite Frenchy, the immortal guillavoie.
And you sure as shit know he means business if he says “Dare you challenge moi?”
The object of the game is not really all that tough,
Hell, you could all probably pull it off in the buff.
Whoa, whoa, I kid, I kid, I don't want to see you all nekkid.
So put your clothes back on because showing off your junk is something I forbid!
Let's get back to the discussion of the simple gameplay,
Cuz I don't want anyone to think you nude dudes are super gay.
All you have to do is get your marble from the start down to the end,
And I think that's an easy concept for all to comprehend.
The object of the game is to get the fastest time in a race,
But beware of all the obstacles that you will have to face.
From other marbles to acid to pit traps too,
Man, who the hell thought this would be such a challenge to get through!
You can get a good score if you get a magic wand.
Yo, don't look at me, I think it is just randomly spawned.
Look, I don't know how it appears.
Although I'd probably know if I hadn't drank so many beers.
There isn't much more about this game that really can be said,
So maybe you should just go play the game instead.
Now it's time to go to your game shelf and select Marble Madness,
And fire it up in your good old N-E-S!
I've been delaying the inevitable for all you gaming fools,
So here are the Weekly Contest rules:
1 player only
Choose whichever control style you want
Play until Game Over
Take your picture when you get a Game Over, or, if you score high enough, on the High Score Screen
Highest score wins
Participation: 20,000
GENRE: Arcade
The contest ends Sunday, 2/26/17 at 11 PM NA time. Your user name MUST be written or typed on a piece of paper and be in the picture for your score to be valid. The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid. No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted. No screenshots by hitting "print screen" on a computer will be allowed. You must take a picture of your computer monitor. There may be instances where this will be acceptable, but it will be at the discretion of myself and the contest organizers. Also, the use of turbo controllers is forbidden, as well as any cheat codes, Game Genies, slow motion functions, or save states if playing on an emulator. Also, we will only be using NTSC systems for the contests. The use of PAL systems will NOT be allowed. Good luck everyone and have fun
