So I got the original copy of the Dos game but it's been laying on my shelf for sometime. It's a decent port of the arcade game however I find controls seem to be a bit stale and you aren't given enough power ups to make it through the game easily. I've tried using my joysticks, which work on many other old dos games,  but none of them seem to work in this one.

I know you can beat it with two player but has anyone beat it on one player ?What's the trick ? Were you able to use the joystick?
