Gonna post my pickups here. I love thriftng and garage sales so hopefully i find some cool/interesting/whatever game stuff. I am definitely not above buying shovelware junk (see below). Garage saling haul minus a couple doubles. I forgot how cool the tall ps1 cases are, gotta keep my eyes open for more. Favorite pickup is definitely a tie between ridge racer and American chopper 2 full throttle. I'm also unironically looking forward to using the ds game for dinner help.

Man, N64 sports games, huh?! Gotta love 'em! If anything there should be MORE sports games on the N64, 1/3rd of the library just isn't enough, lol!

First NES carts! What's the consensus on cleaning sharpie off? The guy also didn't know anything about the Saturn discs, might have come with magazines he thought. I've never played any of these so I'm looking forward to trying em out

I use the dry erase marker method to remove sharpie from carts, if I do.

So this was listed for $30 altogether. I offered to buy, but told the seller that he had a valuable game. He ended up pulling the cart unless i paid another $30, which i did. Not sure what i really expected and he didn't end up raising the price a ton. I guess i just wanted to make sure he knew what he was selling? Am I being stupid about this?

Also what's the best way to clean cartridges? I'm seeing conflicting advice. Spike McFang could use a cleaning. Never played it before but I'm digging the couple hours ive played.

Nah good on you for being honest. I've done it a few times in the past. I find if you're honest about things and offer a few more dollars, the seller will feel more inclined to sell to you instead of the people that jump all over it for the asking price.

Score! $140 altogether. Not pictured: about 30 ds cases with manuals and inserts for free (zeldas, final fantasies, etc). Nervous about removing the sticker from the demon's crest. I need to do more reading...

No, those were the pack in games that came with the Saturn model 2. Mine came with a jewel case version of Nights, but the other three were the same cardboard sleeves

It's been way too long since I went game hunting. It's not quite warm enough for garage sales, but I was able to make a thrifting circuit last weekend. Really digging the bundle of Atari manuals and the ps2 demo discs. Definitely an ephemera-heavy pic, but that's ok.

That said Goodwill is straight up garbage for thrifting. One of the attendants told me they just got a big box of old nintendo stuff, but they are required to auction it all. Garbage.

Three trips in one post! First is what I grabbed at the Cowlitz Expo for Kids, then my haul from two garage sale runs. $20 for Princess Tomato and everything else in the pic? Yes please!
