UPDATE:
10 (W, 10-5)

I'm glad I got to double digits, but man, I'm frustrated. I did nothing but fly outs for those final two innings and I'll have to settle for improving my score instead of my standing.

UPDATE
8 (W, 8-0)

I did this yesterday before bed. I'm glad I decided to try each team once, but I wish Hawaii wasn't my last. For the most part, I had the pitching down well (I gave up 5 runs total in my first 3 games) but batting was an issue. Although all my runs came in the sixth inning, this was still my best performance.

I noticed this game is getting a lot of hostility this week, and I do understand it. The mechanics can be wonky at times and as I stated in my previous post, the camera angle is odd. I still feel its better than I thought it would be, since most reviews I read ahead of time were bad to average, but I still don't plan on buying it anytime soon.

Also, I made a mistake in my earlier post. I work all next weekend and I'm actually off tomorrow, so I'm going to be playing more tomorrow.

I can understand the hostility. Yes the batters' view is odd and playing the game can feel like a grind since it's not as fast paced as many other baseball games, but it really is a great game. As far as the batting goes, definitely wait on pitches as usually you will hit a ball foul or pop out/ground out if you swing as soon as you are able to hit the ball.

Also if the pitch is low and inside/outside or high inside/outside,make sure you swing towards or away from that pitch to increase your chances of a hit,e.g. low and away pitch, swing low and towards the ball. Swinging just low you'll probably make contact, but foul it off or get an out. You can also get out of run downs with some practice as well.
I also tried to do my pitching trick using DC...it doesn't work for any of the pitchers on that team.

Yeah, DC was the team I always used since we they didn't have a Baltimore team. I just played for the first time in soo many years and I still stand by that that strike zone is horrible lol.
If using DC, their philly pitcher seems to always start with a low fastball then the moving changeup, i usually lay off those pitches til the 3rd one is varies between a at the knees fast ball or right on the outside plate(s), at least that's when I played so idk if the selection is random.

Yeah,it can be very frustrating. It also sucks leaving tons of guys on base, which I seem to do every game. And I don't know why,but I have yet to hit a grand slam in this game. And yeah Caleb, the strike zone is horrible. I also am not a big fan of the way the outfielders run to the ball because often it's a 50/50 deal because you don't know if they are going to catch it or not, making it difficult to choose what to do with your baserunners. Many times I've gotten doubled up because I thought a ball would drop and they catch it last second and vice versa.

20...made up for it in the 7th with a 2 out rally..surprisingly, only one homer on my side (I gave up 3, 2 being back to back). Missed out on 2 runs by being greedy in the 3rd and 4th trying to stretch a double Still, not a huge fan of the quasi auto fielding option.

Nice. There goes my decent sized lead. I guess I know what I'll be doing tomorrow morning. Had some really good games today, but couldn't match my best. Even if my score doesn't change,I still feel really good about it.

I think your score might be ok. That was my second attempt. My first I ended up with only 8 runs, hitting a 3 run HR in the 9th. Patience is crucial, also some luck with the ball having eyes

Patience definitely is key. I've had tons of games where I've scored like gang busters early, then my team fizzles late. Going to play a few games in a moment and see what happens.

Well that sucked.... Scored 11 runs in the first inning....awesome! Then innings 2-8 I score only 6. Wtf?! I reeeeally got tired of seeing my batters hit fly out after fly out. Seriously....did you guys forget that you scored freaking 11 runs in that first inning?! Geez....

As others have said, this one can be pretty frustrating. I couldn't believe how many double-plays I ended up hitting into! But I do like the realism (mostly) and remember being enthralled with this one when I was younger. That being said, I'm glad this one's done!

I don't think this one will take precedence over my last posting, hence why I didn't put "update" here. The margin of victory is bigger, but I scored my runs earlier in my previous game. This is my last game since I'm going to work, so it's why I posted a pic anyway.

Probably the most frustrating thing yet: in the 8th, after I scored the 3 runs, I had a runner on 3rd base with no outs. The next batter popped out into a double play. It was more fun than I expected this week, but I think I've had all I can handle for now from this game anyway!

My score : 33 runs. I had a long car trip, and was able to play a LOT. I have never played a game I disliked for so long. The home runs were satisfying though. Advice to anyone up for one last go, use Jersey. That team has the highest collective offense in the game. Try to hit a homer with the fourth at bat, he has 60 homers, the best in the game!

6 Runs

I think this is the best i'm going to do. I had another game after this where I scored 5 runs in the 2nd and was up 7-5 in the 8th and then when I was throwing from the outfield the laws of physics came to an end as the game stalled and the ball was suspended in mid air for a minute until I had to turn the system off. But really in the end that would have only bumped my score up by one or two runs anyway. Bring on the next game!

Doubt I'll even get close to that.

Completely neglected pitching and tried Jersey. A slight bump in my score. That's all for me.

No problem. I try to help out when I can. Sucks that my high score came from when I didn't do the pitching trick.
