I heard a rumor about a possible demo rom coming soon. Not sure how reliable the source is. I bet Power Pak owners would love this rumor to be true.

Kick Ass...and I just happen to have a cart it will play on.
Is there time to load it up and play a round or two?

I have no idea how your workplace got my number, but they are concerned about you after not showing up today. Put the bags down and go to work, please.

Don't you know, the government has everybodys number. Funny thing is, by the time you posted this at 0630 my time, I had been at work 30 minutes and just starting my first meeting. Nobody was the wiser.

Roger that.

I think it is rad that a homebrew encorporated the power pad and achieved success.

Best I can do is play the Demo version on a proto of the AVS.
Would have been better if we had the actual cart and an actual AVS...but you can only do so much!

I've been hard at it the last couple of weeks. The save feature is fully implemented and it seems to be functioning properly. This allowing for progress saving in story mode, unshockable features, and my newest feature, Achievements. Hopefully, everyone finds this game to be more fulfilling with these extra functions.

Overall, there is not much work left on the game. However, a couple of the features left to implement or tweak are going to be time consuming, thus the reason I have been avoiding them.   I want to have a the game fully functional before I start work on these!

In other news, neodolphino has volunteered to show off Tailgate Party on my behalf at Magfest this year. It is my understanding that he will have the room to fully feature the functionality of this game with the Power Pad and Cornbags. This will be a very neat opportunity to come try out the game. I plan on sending a copy of the full game to neodolphino as it stands next week, bugs and all! This will not be a demo like at previous Expos, so come check it out!

The game is coming along very well and is nearly completed. I have a couple screens to write up for story mode, implement a new screen and write some code for a coin flip to see who throws first in 2 Player mode, and 1 more unlock to come up with. At this point, the game will be pretty much complete minus some graphics cleanup, spelling/grammar errors, and further testing on real hardware. This testing phase will also allow me time to get working on artwork for labels, boxes, and manuals. Hoping to have the is ready to roll before summer!

Very happy to hear this. There are homebrew hacks, clones, ports, game inspired by others, and all of these deserve respect for the talent and the efforts of people behind them.

However, when someone invents a completely new game using a peripheral in an unheard of before fashion, that's definitely a +1 on my books. I know I'll never have a chance to play this game in the way it is intended to be played, but anyways it would be great to hear sometimes in the extremely near future that the project is 100% complete and "ready to roll".

This game being published, is something very cool to happen.

Best Luck with the final sprint!

Edit: corrected an error.

Thanks guys! Pretty excited to get the over with. It's been a long journey but I'm happy with the product for my first game.

I also forgot, just waiting on a few more tunes as well. But, not too worried about those as they are always excellent!
