When I saw that nearly symmetrical image, I had to look twice before I realised neither controller was a goofy-foot.

It's gonna be SNES / dual Atari pinout with one SNES plug, two 9-pin Dsubs, and Tron style 8-way joysticks. The index triggers will map to L/R on SNES and FIRE on the Atari. Not sure if I'm gonna put Start/Select on the thumb triggers or use discrete buttons for those.

I may add support for NES (index trigger = B, thumb trigger = A) so I can play two player Bubble Bobble with two hands, but IDK. That's a lot of CD4021 chips if I do NES AND SNES.
