Hello everyone! I'm new to NintendoAge but I've been collecting games since I got my first NES! I've collected a little bit of everything - all Nintendo, Playstation, Sega, and Microsoft systems, as well as an Atari 2600/5200, Commodore 64, Vic 20, and Turbografx. My biggest collections are NES with ~200 games, Famicom ~75 games, and PS1 ~150 games. I just got my AVS from RetroUSB in a few days ago and have been having a great time revisiting my NES games on a 4K TV and I've getting the NES/Famicom collecting bug again.
Right now I'm really impressed with all the homebrew games I'm seeing for the NES. I hadn't been aware of the community and am very interested in the releases I see here, on RetroUSB, and on InfiniteNesLives. Actually, I've started to consider trying to develop a simple NES game myself, and any developer resources people can point me to would be much appreciated! It's probably too daunting of a task, I have nearly no assembly experience and at work I primarily develop in C++98 or C (and that stuff has nothing to do with gaming!). Still, I'd at least like to see what all it entails.
Anyways, I'm excited to be a member here and am excited to compete on the AVS scoreboards!
