Hey guys I am starting to put together a list of all the physical releases of SHMUP games on the Switch. Because its region free, it would include all regions and limited releases. I haven't decided yet if i am going to include both the standard and limited version or just stick to the standard release yet. I was wondering if this has already been done? I have come across some small random lists on various sites, but I kind of want a complete list. Since NA is awesome, didn't know if you guys could help me? This is what I have so far.....

Looks like Hellmut isn't due out until August 30th. And looks like a UK release.

His list seems fairly out of date, at least where physical releases are concerned.

Ikaruga is coming through Nicalis' web store
Psykio Collections are getting a North American release in 2020
I feel like Enter the Gungeon should count if Neurovoider does

Will the limited edition psykio collections get a North American release?

Vol.3 is like $100 after shipping. Should I just buy it while it’s still in stock?

Scalper price hype spike.

...Hrrm, OK ....are we listing everything shooter (top down, twinstick etc) or was this to be a traditional shmup thread? Personally I keep those separate (i.e. Hellmut, Gungeon Nerovoider )

If you talking about the NISA releases Alpha/Bravo sets, then yes they are the US versions of the same collection that was re re released into the 2 sets after the 3 sets...damn that shit is confusing.

Arc System Works released 3 volumes with 4 games on each in Asia as Psikyo Shooting Collection
City Connection has released and is releasing 2 volumes with 6 games on each in Japan as Psikyo Shooting Libary. (these are the versions NIS America is bringing to the States as Psikyo Shooting Stars Alpha/Bravo)

That help? lol

Ok. So Psykyo collection:
3 volumes x 4 games per volume = 12 games
released to Asian market

Psykyo Shooting library
2 volumes x 6 games per volume = SAME 12 games
released to USA and Japan market

Is that right?

After thinking it over, I believe it might be best to leave Hellmut, Enter the Gungeon and Neurovoider and other similar games off this list. That genre might need its own category. That said, if everyone else thinks that the "dungeon crawl / exploration" style game should count I will be more than happy to add them.

I am still trying to figure out if I want to put the LE's and different regions. The inital idea was to have a basic list so people knew which ones were physical. I figured people could research if it was released in their region or if it had an LE that they might be interested in. That said, we are in the early days of this list so doing it right at the begining is easier to do than later down the road when information is harder to obtain. If you guys want that level of detail on the list I would need others to do some of the research and not leave it all to me.   I did put the Psikyo Alpha/Bravo releases on the list already with a new "Notes" collumn just so people don't get burned double buying the games if they only want one release.

If you know a game is coming out, and you know the site please post it. That will save me the time to try to find it if you already know the answer.

Also I am not on NA everyday and only will update during the work week. I just want to let you guys know that as well.

Thanks for all the help. This is a work in progress and I am sure it will evolve.

I am not opposed to that idea, but that in of itself is a lot of work to keep up with. I wouldn't mind adding it, but it would require constant monitoring. If it starts off exclusive, and then down the road gets released on another system the list would have to be updated to reflect its no longer exclusive. Basicly, I would have to be told to change the status unless I find out on my own through happenstance.
