Ever notice some thngs that are supposed to be common are completely impossible to find?

For instance: I've been looking for Mahjong Taikai for famicom.. it should be as dirt common as any other mahjong famicom game, but for some reason I have never seen one!  It's not like I'm desperate for it, but I'm not even sure I could find someone who can confirm it exists

Rampart CIB.  Actually, there is a pretty healthy stack of common CIBs I've been wanting for a while...

Jurassic Park 2 for SNES, I'm trying to get one here or locally for a long time.

Edit : by the way, is it my computer or the fast reply doesn't work today ?

^ Not just you. I tried to reply to this thread earlier, but it said my subject line was too long or something.

What subject!? I wondered if it might have had something to do with this specific thread... maybe the quotation marks in the subject or something.

I promise this game exists, if you really want one I can get one from japan sent over, I have shipping that needs to be sent and it wouldnt take much to throw another game in, just let me know if you do and if you want cart only or CIB

I have all the R1's and R2's (NTSC, cart only) so the most common games I have left are:

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom [Black Tengen version] - R3
Quattro Arcade - R3
Break Time: National Pool Tour - R4

It's kind of funny to see which games turned out to be the last ones considering that there are 198 R3's and 170 R4's.

6 years of collecting and I still don't have Super Mario Bros. (single cart, not SMB/Duck hunt). I don't have Contra or Final Fantasy either. Yes, I know, I should be banished from NES Land. I don't buy off eBay and only buy locally if it's the right price. Believe it or not, I don't think I've ever seen a SMB (not with duckhunt) in the wild. I've stumbled across Contra and Final Fantasy a couple times, but everyone wants outrageous prices for them.

**edit** what's up with the font?

If I only bought locally, I think SMB would be the only game I had

I still need BreakTime as well (have box and manual tho) in my last sub50 games.

Edit:  As far as other "common" items I've been looking forever for...I'd have to say certain regional variants of first-party NES accessories have been evading me forever (you'd be surprised how hard it is to find specific regional packaging variants despite the large production numbers of first party items in general).

I've been looking for Clu Clu Land for about as long as I've collected NES.  I've never seen a cart in person, that includes all flea markets, stores, and two game expos.

In other words, I've seen more sealed Myriads in person than Clu Clu Lands...  seriously.

According to the ezine, it's worth a whole $6...  does that qualify?

I never see any stand alone SMBs either. I'll probably have Stack-Up before I have that one.

I finally picked up a copy of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom [Tengen] so officially the last R3 and the least rare game I need is Quattro Adventure.

It took me years to find Contra for under 15.00, in that time I found many many other, far more valuable titles for far less.

Examples: CIB Duck Tales II for 9.99, Fire and Ice loose 3.99, Mega Man 6 loose 3.99
