I take my kids to CeC still. It's different, the pizza is awful, but we all have fun still.

That was awesome! Thanks for sharing

I was 4 at the time.

It was great hearing Pole Position in the background in the video. It brought back memories of my brother and I going to the arcade every week when the parents went grocery shopping next door. I always heard Pole Position in the background when I played the other games there.

Now all arcades consist of are shooters and ticket games. Pretty sad.

I remember someone posting that video on the klov forums a couple of years ago. Very cool stuff. I was 7 back then. Our town had a CEC and a Showbiz. I thought Showbiz was much better in terms of games and food quite honestly, but CEC was good too. Ah,what fun being an 80's kid....arcades galore!  Lots of good memories! Even though I was just a little kid,I still remember most of the layout of that place....where certain, machines were, the animatronics, etc. Pretty crazy.

Man..

Chuck E. Cheese's back in the day was the most amazing place on earth...

- Huge singing puppets.

- The Best pizza ever  (..well I remember it that way)

- A labryrinth of vidoe game heaven.

- Hiding WAY down at the bottom of the ball pit, so the apathetic teenager checkiong to see if everyone was out wouldn't see me.

- Climbing around inside the cheese holes while Chuck and his cronies had their show.

- I remember some kind of terrifying Elvis Dog... (in a bar?) inside Chuck E. Cheese's  (did they actually have a bar for the adults, or is my mind playing tricks on me?

- Playing Zaxxon forever

Chuck E. Cheese's back then is something that will never exist again... *sigh*

Ah man those were the days! I was just 2 at the time of this video, but still remember Chuck E Cheese being the most awesome place back in the mid to late 80s.

I agree Santa, best damn pizza ever! Well...back then anyway, when I had unrefined taste buds and a bottomless appetite for junk food lol I seem to also remember back in the day that they served beer, probably to help the parents maintain their sanity. Is that still the case? Haven't been there in a long, long time.

I was born in '88, and I remember the tail end of the arcade scene (or what I bias as "The Golden Era" of gaming from '91-'96). We used to have an indoor place similar to CeC (had one of those, too), and it was literally wall to wall games and rides. I remember when MK dropped; the lines were hundreds of feet long. Those were the golden days, IMHO. I remember more or less everything from 1990 onward.

Anyone else remember Child World? They used to have HUGE Nintendo counters/kiosks!

SHOWBIZ PIZZA > chuck e cheese.

Seriously. I still cannot stop occasionally thinking of the awesomeness that was Showbiz Pizza to this very day. Chuck E Cheese killed' em.

Showbiz bought Chuck e Cheese in 85 and later changed all Showbiz location to Chuck e Cheese because it was deemed a bigger name. So Showbiz killed them selves.

Damn, we just took the little lady to Chuck E Cheese's about a month or so ago. It's pretty run down with only like 1 modern racing arcade game, but the best part - every game was 25 cents!!! I actually enjoyed myself haha, unlimited fountain pop, 25 cent games and the pizza was NOT THAT BAD . Cheap win for parents and childish parents who like to push kids and play the arcades! (ok no pushing)

Showbiz Pizza, never heard of that one! The arcade I was referring to (besides CEC in my local area) from BITD was called "Bonkers Funhouse & Pizza". Place was a childhood staple lol.

I still have a Showbiz token around here somewhere. I liked that place as it had better food, games, and animatronic characters than Chuck ever did, sad that they converted over to the rat house when they merged.
