I decided to format my desktop last night, what a mistake. Ive done this tons of times before with no problems. Here the deal.

Keyboard runs in bios no problems, when asked to press any button to boot from cd keyboard doesn't respond then i get the ntldr error. I made it past this once and then the keyboard stopped working once I was asked what drive to install Winblows on. I even manged to get it installed once and then when i rebooted I got missing ntldr. Now I cant get past press any key to boot from cd the keyboard just wont respond and I have tried 3 different ones with no sucsess.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Im at my wits end. Like I said I have done this many times with no problems.

Very computer literate person here-

1st thing make sure your desktop has the latest BIOS, second then go into BIOS and turn off halt keyboard errors and enable USB support for startup, third get another copy of windows since yours might have been corrupted/ scratched.....if you need a DL link I can give you one

Also if you can USE A PS2 keyboard, I keep one around just for this reason, they come in quite handy

I tried all those ideas but nothing worked, so this morning I went to the Salvation Army and found an old keyboard for 49 cents and now im up and running again. I have no idea what was wrong but it done now.

So it was the PS2 keyboard? lol I cant tell you how many damn times a PS2 keyboard has saved me......it really is quite ridiculous
