Hello fellow americans, well not really, but this Canadian is in palm springs with the in-laws, well la quinta exactly, just wondering if anyones local or knows the area that has suggestions on some places to check out while im down here...

If you're staying two weeks or more, the Socal Retro Gaming Expo is on the 20th and 21st in the City of Industry.  

There's Gamers Quest in Indio that might be the closest to you.

Dammit I wish i was staying that long!
