I posted some more or less participation scores. If I get a chance to play some more later I will but it's doubtful. Super punch out is really fun. I'm surprised that I've never played that game before.

That Mexican guy can piss off. I hate him!

Masked Muscle's punches will shift his entire body to the left or right, so you have to hit him with left or right punches accordingly. You also have to hold your dodge longer in order to avoid his headbutt and spit to the face. If you come back too quickly from the dodge, you'll get hit..

MM is really easy once you're used to fighting him.

Wait until you face Mr. Sandman...

Well I beat that stupid Mexican. Fought Mr Sandman and was able to knock him down twice in the first match. He ultimately won and I only had one live left. Only had time to try one circuit attempt sadly.

mbd, those are some mighty fine scores. I did KO Narcis Prince once, which I think is more in the 10 second range. My stumbling block is Hoy Quarlow; I've tried and tried, but can't time the punches to dizzy him. Is he tricky for you too?

I've never played DKC or DKC2 but the reception to it in this contest seems to be lukewarm anyway.

Yeah, Hoy is tricky to get dizzy. He likes to duck or block punches so it can take a lot of tries.

I've beaten DKC2 before, but I'm not nearly as familiar with it as I am DKC, and it's much harder. All three DKC games are worth playing.

updated both games incase I forgot to on wednesday. I had a really crazy hectic month with my grandma passing away mid february. Was one of the worst days of my life.  Kinda killed gaming for the month. Was hard just to play on that console tv for awhile because it was hers and its all I could think about and just couldnt get myself in the mood to play. After almost 2 weeks i finally picked back up the switch just to sit there and play and distract myself. Finally got me a little bit in the mood to start playing snes contest. Did DKC again and improved my time.

I am proud of my aaron ryan time ( 9 seconds) , and my kagero (16 seconds) time. I know I could do better overall shaving down but under 5 minutes isnt bad. When earlier in the month MB was updating and getting it so low I knew it was going to be alot more work than I really wanted to put into it. He was obsessed lol. Bonus point being at 3:30 is rough. I feel under 5 would be about right after playing. I think my longest time is macho man at 32 seconds. Half my times are like 16 or less seconds. Didnt feel like shaving time on narcis or macho man and masked muscle. I always screw up masked muscle mid fight. He randomly will block a punch out of nowhere and ruin everything. Those 3 fighters are where most of my time is

DKC 2 only 2 run throughs. Knocked 3 hours off my casual time to get under 3 hours. If the game wasnt so frustrating with banana coins and saving requiring 2 and it resetting when you turn the game off it would be a much smoother pick up and play for 102 percent. Having to think about banana coins and saving at optimal times is frustrating. Same with funky, but I think once you pay for his you get it for free the rest of the time in that single world.

I will try to update the leaderboard tonight when I get to the hotel or tomorrow morning before I have to leave to go to the airport to go back home.

Also, sorry for your loss, quest4nes. It is specially hard to deal with the loss of a close loved one.

Sorry to hear about a family member passing, man. That is rough.

I know that Super Punch-Out was my only chance for a SNES contest win this year. It's the only game on the system that I am particularly good at. So I put a lot of time and effort into it.

I'm impressed with your Aran Ryan time. My current times are the lowest that I can get any of them and I've tried and tried.

Scores added to post on first page. Literally posting these as I'm heading out the door to work, so my time in Super Punch Out is an approximate time   I'll fix it later unless someone wants to add it up for me

My NES collection count: 757 games (16 to go for a full set)

Latest Purchase(s): Snow Brothers

Contest participation seems down across the board. Over-saturation?

Gives me much to think about
