I bet you'd get a lot more than $50 on eBay as well. You'd be surprised what people pay. I also would think that torn / damaged labels would affect the value of the cart worse than damage to the plastic.

Throw it on the Bay and keep us posted. I'm guessing it'd break $80. But of course, you'd pay 9% in fees too.

I'm glad someone else thinks it's worth more then $50.

I Pmed the OP and told him I thought $75 was a fair price.

Thanks for validating what I was thinking Jone.

Most sellers these days on ebay would take a far away shot of 150 games and if anyone asked about BB2 they would tell bidders that the label was in great shape. lol

Err you're welcome? I wasn't offering because I knew someone would do at least $50 or so on it just because of the game. I'd love to own it again, but I have my limits.

laserman though is right, if you're daring that will work and you can double your money.

I saw you put this up on ebay. Big BIN with the damage but with a make offer so that's cool -- good luck.

I know, that's why I said good luck. I was serious, not sarcastic as it still is a hard to find game. Someone with a hairdrier, lots of time and a donor could make that cart shine again with a face transplant.

You could try to remove the label with a heat gun and razor and then swap the board and label with another cart and glue the label back down.  Warning: not for the faint of heart - do so at your own risk!  Maybe practice on a common cart first.

I would also agree with the both of you. I would much rather it have damage to the cart than the label. GL with the sale OP.

you could allways attempt to colour match the cart with some kind of dye and dye the white back to grey, or would that be worse?

Here's an idea;
1. Cover the labels
2. Get a blow torch with a good blue flame
3. "Flameshine" it! Keep a safe distance from cart and don't point it very long at the same spot..

That's what pinball people do to fresh up pinball rails with scratches. It seems to me like a plastic discoloration. Only reversable technique should be this I believe...

Warning: on your own responsibility

Anyway you should have CustomNESGuy paint it shiny white. I don't think he would charge much for one cart and it would look pretty cool.

Don't use nail polish, I've done that to one cart, and it became a bit like yours (whitened). Maybe the Retr0Brite thing could work?

I'm not sure many people would even consider buying a Bubble Bobble 2 cart that appears to have been loved a little too much.

It's hard to say what caused the stains but the plastic used in NES carts is a little on the porous side, which is maybe why your attempts at cleaning it didn't work. Find yourself a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and lightly rub the affected areas. I had to clean a cutting board at work and not even bleach could remove some stains. I took a Magic Eraser to it on a whim and the stains came off in seconds. I'd say that if the Magic Eraser cannot remove the stains, then whatever got on the cartridge forever altered the actual plastic and there's little more you can do.

They're cheap and it's seriously worth a shot for a cart like that.

The words Blowtorch and Bubble Bobble 2 should never be associated together...

You're the second person to suggest that retrogradio, so I may try that.

I'm talking to a guy on eBay who is willing to buy BB2 for a great price, but how much do you guys think I can get for BB2 if I can get that white stuff off?

If you do use the magic eraser, be VERY cautious. A little too much rubbing and it can mess up the cart.
