Q: Why is your shipping price less on eBay then on your website:
A: I use USPS flat rate for nearly all my shipping. There's a glitch in eBay's system in the flat rate calucluation. If you offer a flat rate on an auction with quantities greater then 1, eBay will not charge additional shipping for more then one. In otherwords, ebay charged $5.15 regardless of how many were purchased 1 item or 10. The soultion is to not do cacluated shipping, but the max they'll allow you to charge demestically is $4 even though the envelope will cost me $5.
Offering free domestic shipping sounds nice but doing that wont allow me to offer combined shipping discounts.
Here's a recent communication to a buyer that will further illustrate.
For that one [25 SNES] it should only be $1 different. Its only different because of restrictions in eBay's shipping policies with calculated flate rate shipping (which is a very long story). So the extra $1 is in the price of the item
The actual cost to ship a 25 pack of SNES to Canada is $14.54
Your shipping cost ebay: $13.54
Your shipping cost website: $14.60
When you calculate the $1 out of the eBay price, a 25 pack is $20 on ebay and $18.50 on the website, which is a 7.5% savings to you.
Considering eBay takes 10% from every sale, it's mutually beneficial for you to buy from the website. You save 7.5% and I make 2.5%
I hope that explains the $1 difference and the logic of my pricing.
I would recommend buying 50-55, over 25. The cost is $5.50 more in shipping for twice as many protectors
