Nice haul on the ps1 long boxes. Let me know if your selling any of them, you picked up a couple I still need to track down.

so i answered a CL ad that said this:

"I am looking to sell off my vintage systems with some games. I have the following for $100.

Atari Lynx 2nd Gen w/ case, Batman Returns, California Games, Ninja Gaiden, and Rampage
N64 w/ cords and controllers...Games- Castlevania/Wrestlemainia 2000/ Super Mario 64/SW Shadows of the Empire
Sega Saturn w/ 3 controllers and Video cord ( needs AC adapter)
Sega Master System w/ Govellius game ( needs video cord)
Sega Genesis System w/ Sega CD (Needs all cords)
GameCube (broken disk holder in unit)
SNES gen 1 (needs DC10v cord)
Target Exclusive SNES Control Deck in Box Games: NHL Stanley Cup/Batman Returns/Killer Instinct/Super Off Road"

---------------------------------------------------------
so when i met up, i received the following (for $95...that is all the cash i had on me and he said that was fine)

There is a Sega CD under that High Definition Genesis

There was NO mention of this.  Aren't these pretty valuable??????  (So this was surprise #1)

This will go nicely with the "Hard Drivin'" game i found in the wild over the weekend.

The cube is missing something inside that holds the discs in.  it is the "HD" version as well. SNES is mad yellow. haha.

There is a memory card in one of those controllers as well.

This wasn't listed, so it was as surprise as well.  He asked if I wanted this stuff too, and of course i said yes.

THIS was the big surprise.  This will go nicely in my Zelda collection.  I was hoping for the Zelda version of the SNES.

Awesome find man! You could say $95 for a new SNES Mini in the box and the rest was free, congrats.

I would say so. Mini systems will bring about $40 in good condition and Zelda alone will sell for $15. All of this being new, with the box and complete should make up the other $40 easy.

Haha first gen SNES, if he only knew, but then again at that price he didn't care. That's like damn near $100 with the box and all that there and as others said it's like $40 alone. That is a very slick pickup and a lot of high profit resale stuff there.

If you have a Saturn or keep that one, do NOT get rid of that 4MB cart. That will allow all their high profile really good memory hungry games to work like SF vs XMEN and others. The only thing nicer (unless that has it too) is the 4M Pro Action Replay as it has save game storage.

Nice find on that Zelda system. My first SNES was the Zelda pack in from Target. $50 when I got it. I wish I had kept it all, I want it back!

So I went to Best Buy to get my wife a new computer.   A few stores down is a Disc Replay.  So I went over there to browse.  10 seconds after I got in, some teenager walked in with a bag full of stuff.  He said to the employees that he wanted to sell some stuff.  He starts pulling out a PS3, a gamecube and an N64.  I asked if he had any games for any of that stuff and he said he did (See the 4 below).  upon seeing that, i said that i'd give him more for the games than the store offered.  He said OK.  The store wouldn't buy his N64 b/c he didn't have a controller.  They said they'd buy the jumper pack (well its the red expansion pack), the power supply and games.   They offered him $9 for it.  that is nuts.  I didn't have cash on me, but the kid wanted Modern Warfare 2 for Xbox 360.  So i bought that ($20.46 or something) and gave it to him for the N64 stuff below.

I then got the longbox game there for $3, the zapper for $2 and the zelda guide for $2 (not at disc replay).  (Sorry for the ramble, but I don't usually have a story with my finds)

Yeah I was about to say the same thing that I'm surprised you didn't get your ass tossed out as most of them get all uptight about being upstaged on their lame scheming value offers in store by customers.

Yeah policy around here at a place nearby here is not only if you do it in store, but if he finds out you went outside anywhere near by and did it you're perm-banned from the shop just for making the offer let alone doing it. Some people are cool, and well some are greedy and the opposite. It really makes sense for the property owner and if you want it in your shop vs that guys paws you offer more than a couple cents to the dollar in a pressure tactic for cash or credit.

I tried buying some original Mario Kart DS from a customer at Game Stop once... the guy said it was illegal, and if I did I would be banned. I told him I didn't care.

I used to do that when I worked at a game store, best way to get games... people don't always care how much they get

Hell it's gamestop, and also it's not illegal, they just hate it because the customer would be happy with say $15 vs $5 any day. I'd say it's a win win as you get more money and removed from a bad element.
