After a while of sitting back hoping to get a decent price on a Sharp TV, one poped up on CL this morning and I was the first responder (think it had been posted for 5 minutes or so).

It has all 4 legs and the front cover.  No dead pixels, and the body of the TV looks very clean.  It does not include any controllers or remote (he is throwing in a couple NES controllers but not the Sharp style ones).

I guess it needs the pin replaced as he says it takes some work to get the games working; it does play them after some fiddling, though.

TL;DR

Price check for Sharp TV... clean body, all 4 legs and front cover.  No controllers or remote.

Clean body with doors/legs. Probablyupwards of 500ish if you clean the 72 pin.

Btw these tv's are awesome.

I've been collecting for close to three years now, and have not gotten my hands on a single Sharp TV, so I'm very excited to bring this home. It actually ended up being a fellow NAer (Nintendo_matt) so that was a welcomed surprise. I'm going to pick it up later today as we just came to an agreement on the price.

Dude, that thing looks minty fresh. Congrats. I have the sharp controller but am missing the game-door.

It's defiantly in great shape.  Has a few sections I'm going to use some elbow grease on and clean up, yet overall it's already great.  Picture is good, sound quality is good... just need to replace the pin and I'll be very satisfied.
 

just boil the pins first. Don't jump right to replacing them

Instructions for replacement on a sharp tv? Please link me. Mine needs cleaning too but I am terrified to start because I dont want to break it. I know I have to flip it over which is scary enough. Words cannot express how flimsy and breakable these legs are.

I'll defiantly try boiling them... as Fax said though, I'm weary of trying to flip it to open it up, especially since it is brand new to me; I know I need to open it up eventually, though... so might as well get to it.

Looks easy enough. Just hope I can find those clips on the board. It it a total rats nest inside one of these things.

I was supposed to get a Sharp NES TV myself. The owner totally flaked because either he was too worried to ship it or just plain lazy. Even tracked down a manual, original remote, and 2 Sharp controllers in preparation for receiving it. Oh well, one day I'll have mine...

That's shitty the seller backed out, even though they are supposed to be a bitch to ship as the inners are fragile.
If you don't mind me asking, how much did the manual, remote and 2 controllers run you in the end?

The guy I was buying from didn't really want to ship at all but I guess UShip has a pretty decent track record for getting fragile thing across country safetly! Maybe you can try to coax them into shipping or something if they still have it!

 

They are an absolute nightmare to ship.

Nah, the guy is a total flake. I waited over a month for him to get off his lazy ass to ship it. Then he said he was having issues sending the refund. I ended up having to file a claim with my bank to get my money back. Total loser. Karma will come back to his stupid ass.
