Mine was the famicom everdrive N8 (with 60 to 72 pin adapter) and the first game I loaded was Castlevania III japan version to test the expansion sound and it sounded fantastic. I checked out Gimmick as well and no issues at all. I was quite impressed I really like that every game I threw at it loaded right away unlike my front loader.

How did you get yours already? Have they started shipping?

Yeah, Bunnyboy sent out solo units to the West Coast and units shipping with other RetroUSB stuff on Saturday. We started getting them yesterday. I got mine at 1:30pm.

Yeah, I got my notice on Saturday and got it yesterday to the Dallas area.  I think if you ordered games with the console there was a delay in shipping.  I just ordered the AVS by itself.

SMB/DH. It will be like day-1 with my NES again.

This happened. I was blown away by the experience. Not only was the image gorgeous (using the out-of-the-box settings), but I noticed that the latency (that I had previously adjusted to) was no longer there. So thrilled to finally have this!

No, what happened is the USPS gave him the wrong shipping boxes, so he only had so many to send out the AVS by itself.

Those of you who got yours already - did you order on the 8th? I didn't order mine until the 10th, so maybe it's going out in a later batch...

I was part of the first day of preorders. He didn't start shipping until the 10th, so yeah, probably later batch.

Lucky. SMB will be my game of choice as well, unless I decide to blast away space baddies in Solaris!

While that is true, the previous sentence is also true. He doesn't have the boxes and manuals for the release games yet, so any orders with any of them included are delayed.

Can Brian just ship me the AVS and loose game carts then mail me the boxes/manuals later in a large flat envelope? I am tired of waiting...

I did notice the doorstep photo where Brian had two different sizes of Priority boxes waiting for pickup. At first I assumed the AVS box fit inside the priority box, then the sightly taller boxes had games with them, but apparently that's not the case. I guess with any massive product launch, there are a few snags.

Cool! I'm jealous. I have the game because I found it for cheap and I love the artwork, but no FDS to go with it...

I ordered a repro NES cart from GameReproductions.com a few weeks ago, but it hasn't shipped yet. Apparently there is a 30 day shipping delay due to them not being on top of their game. Not impressed.

I'm on the East coast, and I picked mine up from the Post office this morning. The first game that I tried on it was Paperboy, followed by Castlevania 3, since those tend to give clone consoles a fit.

So far I'm happy with it. Updated to the latest firmware, and all but 2 of my games work. One is Bubble Bobble, which for some reason, won't work on any clone but works great on my original top loader, and I'm OK with that.

The other is Final Fantasy 7, which I'm going to assume is due to the unique mapper that it uses. Game works perfect on my top loader NES, and my Super Retro Trio. Retron 5 craps out (but can run the ROM) , and all my other homebrew runs like a champ on the AVS.

Hopefully, this is something that can be fixed through a firmware update. Here is a video of FF7 running on the AVS, SRT3, and NES.
