While you may not consider those as part of the collection, we do. Here is the list of required items.

Yeah I mean, I get the impression that if it's based on the IP and officially released by the company that it counts here, if it didn't, then you'd be removing stuff like Mario Paint and the like from the Mario series line. I personally like it being as it is though as the rewards shouldn't be overly easy to get, especially for a series like Zelda which doesn't have that many entries considering its age. The good news is, if you don't own a Wii U, i'm sure the moderators would allow you to substitute Hyrule Warriors Legends for the 3ds as it's basically the same game with some changes. If the games had excessive amounts of sequels like how Mario Party/Kart/Sports did then I could see spinning them off into their own things, but as is I think it's wisely done. You can also find links crossbow training at every gamestop on the planet for about a dollar, they usually have 100 copies stuffed in a drawer, no lie

Also thanks for updating my last few straggler awards, i'll be working on a few more aside the one in this post but it will probably be awhile since I need to actually make purchases to complete some of them, very theraputic

Edit: Also I got my last Mario games in today so figured i'd do that set real quick while waiting for others to come.

Super Mario Set

Got pretty lazy with this one so didn't bother with much extras but, I have a crap load of mario extras so I didn't wanna do all the work, hopefully the ones I grabbed at random are fine otherwise I can add more in about 2 minutes, heh.

Edit:

Club Nintendo Platinum Member

I talked to the showrunner here about if this one is still obtainable even though Club Nintendo is defunct, he said just post some pictures of your platinum rewards and it is fine, so here is that too. I'm also going to post some extras I got from there just to push home the point of how much I used that site, I typically double platinumed each year.

Opted not to post more pics to keep the thread clean, but you get the idea

Link's Crossbow training is $0.49 at Gamestop (cheaper if you are a rewards member). No reason not to own it.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Thanks for replying. I meant to go back and edit my post; everything's fine now. Not sure why, but it was the only page on the whole forum that wouldn't load for me for most of the day.

Alrighty, I actually was able to knock 2 more out due to trying to be a bit clever, i'm trying to score these without spending anymore money than needed so I had to dig around a bit for some stuff, I know shining force is a bit of a stretch but hopefully you guys are down with it, and to be fair, the Sega Cd Shining force is actually a remake of the GG shining force titles (one of which did not release in the US) No worries though, my next sets (probably within a week or two) will be much more robust, just had a struggle on these

F-Zero Complete Set  (2 copies of GP, one fully sealed, one CIB F-zero GBA and the other just a cart, cart removed to show 2 carts, Amiibo, a poster, and a picture frame   )

Shining Force Complete Set (extras here are the project X zone titles which include Shining characters, a poster, Sonic collection which includes the genesis Shining series, and the GBA remake of Shining, hope this one flies as it's the biggest stretch but I tried to be creative   )

Imports:

I like to import for a lot of different systems...I ended up cropping out my Sharp Twin Famicom to save some space.

Club Nintendo Platinum Member:

I didn't realize this one was still avaliable. Most of the years I was a member I went with downloadable VC games instead of physical rewards, so hopefully the pictures attached are proof enough. I still have my Smash Poster set in it's original box which cost me 700 coins. I didn't take it out as I want to keep it nice, so hopefully the sender address is valid. I also have Doc Louis's Punch-Out! downloaded if needed.

^That YES Captain Falcon card is amazing!

Also because the suggestion thread seems to be locked... a Star Wars award? I compiled a quick list and I got over 70 titles (not counting digital only, but still counting games like LEGO Star Wars and the Angry Birds Star Wars game released physically). I think even "Star Wars Collector" would work and you could count it if the person owns 40, 50+ games. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lis...

After looking over some awards, why is Hyrule Warriors part of the Zelda series set when it's technically a Dynasty Warriors game?

Because it's based on the Zelda IP and is also the best warriors game?   If you try to remove it then people will argue against stuff like Star fox adventure or Guard, Mario paint or the rpg games, all the Mega Man spin offs, Metroid pinball, etc. They are still part of the series like Triforce Heroes is.

The awards seem focused on your fandom for the series and not just fandom for certain ones in it. Despite it being a spin off it's a lot closer to the material than Star fox adventure, but big fans would want to own them all.

I guess that makes sense... but then what happens when we get a Dynasty Warriors award? Would it count towards both?

I'd say it should if that happened, though good luck to anyone trying to own every DW game, and good luck to the poor soul compiling that list lol. I collect those but have no idea which I'm missing still, very frustrating series due to the amount of spin offs and such. I think there must be like 10 series within that series by now.

On a side note, do we submit new award ideas here or is there a dedicated thread?

I don't think they have a suggestion thread but they do have a voting one. If there is one I would have a good amount of suggestions since this is my main collecting gimmick

Ah, well if the suggestions are supposed to be done here then, I guess i'll throw in mine even if it won't do much. I'll put some explanations next to some to expand a bit for fun. These were just some random series I came up with but I figured it might offer ideas others might not have thought of for the future. I also see they have a Sega Gamer award, so maybe a medal could be made for Nintendo/Playstation/Atari style stuff, if you don't want to clutter up the awards with a lot of non Nintendo stuff. Stuff like Ace Combat, Klonoa, Spyro, Twisted Metal, etc would fit in great with a PS award, and other smaller series like Kid Icarus, Ice Climbers, etc could be worked into a Nintendo one. Anyways, here are some ideas of series that could be represented somehow, either through a single award for each or through a conglomerate medal   I realize i'm not the final word on anything, so these are just ideas.

Ace Combat
Batman
Blaster Master
Breath of Fire
Bonk (I'd say if Adventure Island is there this one would fit in, kind of symbolic series)
Bust a Move (a staple on Nintendo platforms, but present on many)
Bubble Bobble
Doom (possibly too easy, depending)
Dynasty Warriors (challenging one, especially if you include the subseries like One piece/Zelda/Samurai Warriors/Fist of the North Star, Gundam, etc)
Earthworm Jim (there are about 4 unique entries in this series, and many ports)
Frogger (high challenge, Atari heritage)
Game and Watch Gallery Series
Goemon
Ghouls 'N Ghost (already in the poll)
Kid Icarus (small series)
Legacy of Kain/Soul Reaver
Oddworld
Pac-Man
Quake
Rampage
Ratchet
Rayman (this is a big one, there are a LOT of Rayman games)
R-Type
Shinobi
Shin Megami
Splatterhouse
Spyro
Soul Calibur
Super Monkey Ball
Tekken
Twisted Metal
Turok
Turrican
Touch Generation Series (ds line nintendo used)
Wii Series (Wii Sports, Resort, Club, Wii Music, Wii Play, Motion, Fit, etc)
Worms

Company/Genre Medals

These would be pretty difficult to get but, I thought it could be fun to have awards for collecting all (or some kind of subset, etc) of games from a company. Example, all Rare titles made from Snes (or Nes) to current. I own every game released under the Working Designs and Renovation label as example. If you want to be inclusive to people who use sites like racketboy, then you could do stuff like SHMUP medal for owning X amount of those or, other genres, but they should be hard to get.

All done, figured i'd throw my hat out anyways

Complete Final Fantasy Set (I threw in a few extras that haven't been added, like Type 0 and lightning returns, and a few others just because)

Had all this stuff before aside FFXIV so, nabbed that one for 6 bucks to finish this set

Thanks Jonebone, I finished another set today, along with needing to buy 2 games the NA award required, I decided to finish the set by 'my standard' as well. I didn't take pictures of extra swag since I didn't want to unbury it, but I have stuff like shirts or toys boxed away. Instead I took a picture of 5 titles the Award does not require as the extras to make it easy on myself

Complete Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Set (please note the main picture has the extras in it too, but I seperated the image once to make it easier on the mods)

Seeing as where I live, PAL games are the types present. Would NTSC games count as an import?
And can a mix of them and JAP games count towards that set..?

I'm not sure about the Japanese question but, I believe the OP states you can use Pal versions to complete a set along with US copies, but probably best to wait for a more authorative person to say for sure. Thanks for adding my TMNT award, hoping, won't be adding any until at least Monday since no mail tomorrow
