These were some of my all time favorite games. Looks like the series might be finally getting the 3rd part of the trilogy. Cryptic thingie up. Appears to be counting down

Anyone else love these as much as I did?

I still need to go back through Virtue's Last Reward as I got a very quick shitty ending.

999 was one of my favorite DS games though.

999 was fantastic. I never finished VLR though. A third game would be great and might motivate me to finish VLR so I can play all three.

If you like that and have a Vita give Dangan Ronpa a shot.

Did I hear right that one version of VLR is problematic, like some sort of game stopping bug? If I wanted to play it on which system should I do that, Vita or 3ds?

If you save particularly during one of the puzzles on the 3DS version, it has the potential of whiping out your savegame.  If you don't save during the puzzles, you're fine.

I'm beyond excited for this coming out, I still wear one of the watches I got for VLR all the time.  Already preordered my copy from Amazon, I'll just have to try and make sure that they don't screw early preorders out of the bonus like they did with VLR.

Just saw the new zero escape will have a limited edition with watch like the last one. Unfortunately preorders for it are already sold out on Amazon . Was the previous watch pretty useable/practical/aesthetically pleasing?

I have a feeling that some will come back. Somebody is bound to cancel their order between now and then. I'm just going to be refreshing my window until I get one.

I'm also going to watch Aksys' online store. They're the publisher, they're bound to get them, right?

For VLR, what happened was they had a preorder on Amazon with watch, it sold out, then after a while they updated to a new listing for the watches, that sold out, and the people who originally preordered (if they didn't manually update their preorder, even they were told their preorder would be fine) missed out on the watches. There was some backlash, complaining, blah blah blah, but Aksys said they weren't responsible for it and that it was a problem with Amazon..... and Amazon could care less, so they didn't do anything. They did wind up having a small amount of extras through the Aksys site before it came out, and then a different color watch for a hurricane relief fund. So try and keep an eye out regardless.... maybe if we try and keep each other updated on this thread if we find anything out, we won't miss out if something goes awry.

The watches are alright....the original one for 999 was metal, VLR is plastic....not adjustable, but it looks pretty cool.  It lights up when you push the button, otherwise you don't see the time.  The screws on mine are rusted on the back, and the time keeps resetting, so it's more of a cosmetic item than something that is actually functional.

I'm pretty sure with VLR that GameStop didn't have the preorder watch, and at least the ones around here didn't even get the game in unless it was preordered until a decent while later.  History doesn't always dictate what happens with future iterations, so hopefully this one will be more easily available.

Just sign up for a stock tracker online (like http://www.nowinstock.net/)and... it will alert you when a website has it's on stock.

It's very exciting news, the ending of VLR leaves you wanting much much more of the overall story in a good way. It's almost been 3 years since the games release, wish the wait wasn't so long. 999 is one of those games i recommend as often as i can.

Loved 999 so much i bought both a 3ds and vita version of this game on launch just to support it. Bought the vita one through amazon so i could get one of the watches (bought the 3ds version in store so i didn't have to wait and could play it right away).

Missed the watches. Threw them in my WTB thread. I'll snag one this time.
