Excellent write up on Street Cop, I picked that up at MGC a few weeks back and tried playing myself. Couldn't quite figure it out.

Nice writeup on the 2018 review too, Arnpoly. Just read it today. Not surprised Q*Bert was the crowning moment of 2018. That was a very impressive run.

Are there any games left you in particular "fearful" of? Or don't look forward to?

Thank you!  I needed both the manual and some practice to figure out exactly how it works.  It's pretty fun now that I know what to do.
 

Thank you!  It was a lot of work but it was fun putting that together.

At this point I'm not that concerned about any one game in particular.  I know I can beat anything.  Making time for some of the long games on my list is probably my biggest concern.  I've heard Might and Magic is like an 80 hour game, at my rate of playing that's 2-3 months on just one game.  The logistics of recording 2-3 hour long games is also something that takes time for me to schedule around.
 

Might and Magic was the one I was thinking of too. That sounds like the biggest haul you can end up with.
The Ultima games, Bard's Tale, Dungeon Magic, AD&D: Pool Of Radiance are the same type of game. 
I've never tried any of them so I don't know if they just go on forever or if they are very hard to beat.

That game is a doozy.
Just a few questions for you though.
How far away did you sit from the tv?
What equipment do you use for recording? I've wanted to get in on that but don't trust I'd end up with the right stuff based on what I've read up on the interwebs.

A doozy indeed!

I sat 5-6 feet away from the TV, pretty much just as the manual suggests.

For recording I have an Elgato Game Capture HD.  That might be the only capture card from Elgato that also captures from analog sources (non-HDMI), but it does HDMI as well which is perfect for capturing from the AVS.

To capture from CRT, I use one of these: https://www.amazon.com/RadioShack...

With that, I can take the input from the game and output it to both the TV and the capture card at the same time.  It's three sets of cables, but it does the job for the few games that require a CRT.

lol, I had Videomation bitd. Not by choice, one of those things where an adult decides edutainment is the way to go for Christmas. But I did "play" it from time to time. Definitely more than I would now. What horrible color combinations, very 90s.

Yeah, it's ... not great.  But it is kind of impressive for what it is able to do on the NES.  It would take a lot to do it better I think.
 

With Khan's new game's kickstarter sporting an adapter for the SNES mouse, as well as in-game mouse compatibility, I wonder what it would take to add mouse support to games like this, King's Quest V, etc...
 

Agreed. At the time, it was something. Like you said, somebody could probably take the time and make something impressive, like some people do with MS Paint. Reading your description of the tools reminded me of using Harvard Graphics on DOS. 

One day my friend made a vertical line of dog stamps and said, look it’s a dogpile. That mild juvenile joke is probably as much fun as I ever had with it, lol. 
 

Hah. Nice drawing, I watched that video from start to beginning. I didn't understand what you were drawing before in the end.
