I noticed something about the images in the auction... In the Famicom Commercial the title screen has a shorter icon (tiny sword?) for selection while the one Arasoi bought has the final US icon, which depicts a kantana, or a machine gun, something like that. This is probably a production cart that was supposed to go in stores at willing date of release, because the one in the advertisement could be an EEPROM prototype, considering that Strider was supposed to be released 26 years ago and the cart in action does not experience bit rot, as seen in the images.
Anyways, congratulations for getting the cart. You put a smile on my face, buddy. And everyone's too. If your Fami-dumper needs to specify a mapper type/name, here are the technical details about the retail release:
PRG ROM: 16 x 16KiB
CHR ROM: 0 x 8KiB
ROM CRC32: 0x02ee3706
ROM MD5: 0x12fce6abd0531a9f9a4c2bfbcca124fb
Mapper #: 1
Mapper name: MMC1
Mirroring: Vertical
Battery-backed: No
Trained: No
Hopefully the prototype you have will match the retail release's information.
EDIT: Did anybody see the konami stuff in the back? Either he was a representative of Konami (like the SS on the TMNT retail prototype), or he got his stuff from a friend who was a representative of Konami instead.
