Dude, what the hell? Haven't you ever seen Ghostbusters? That guy very clearly said "Don't cross the memes!"

Don't piss Socks off, he'll build a wall of Little Samsom's and make you pay for it.

Will he make the snes great again?

Will he put a temporary ban on genesis till we just figure this whole 16 bit console war out?

China is killing us with fakes. Will he work out a deal?

I was at the National History Bowl, and they actually referenced this in a question about Bill Clinton. (Sadly, I was the only one who knew about it )

That is awesome! That you knew the answer. Not that you were the only one who did, that kinda sucks. We'll fix that.

As we get further into the game I'll say this...there are some amazing things that were never public. I sincerely feel this game would have been very well received, and still will. It gets pretty hilarious with the characters.

No teasers but a few developments I can share:

The game is now more polished than it has ever been. There were a few bugs that were cleaned up, some enhancements and additions done to the ROM. The box art is done for the Standard Edition as well as the Limited Edition.

The game was setup and demo'd at the Long Island Retro Gaming Expo courtesy of Dra6oon and very well received.

I guess all the political drama for the upcoming elections makes it rather appropriate to release Socks at this time, right?

Just a quick update. We hope to have the Kickstarter live within the next week. I will post again when it's live.

The funny thing about the Expo was 4 people walked away, highly disgusted, once they found out it was related to the Clinton's. I mean, I can't stand the tuna basket myself, but a video game is a video game, especially when it's a fun one.

I said I would never back another video game Kickstarter but I'll back this one. I'll be getting a complete boxed copy if you're offering it. Is one of the tiers going to be offering the prototype as a reward?

Thank you, we appreciate the support!!! I think one of the key differentiators with our release is how far along we are. This was by design. It pissses me off personally when you see a Kickstarter and the game isn't even in the testing phase or is being "designed".  We are a couple steps away from production.

Great questions, here are the answers:

There are 3 boxed versions. Standard release, Limited Edition and there will also be 3 Dev copies available during the Kickstarter. Every version has their own artwork with the Dev Copy being just, well, insane. As for the proto, the plan was to offer that on a tier but the Kickstarter site has limitations as to what you can do. We also wanted to do a sweepstakes which we can't do either. Kind of a bummer. I'll ask for exceptions but don't get your hopes up. If we can't tier the proto I don't know what we'll do there.

If we cant get the sweepstakes exception maybe we can do that here. The prize package includes a custom "Socks" SNES console, by non other than customnesguy, a standard edition boxed copy, some autographed posters and maybe some other trinkets.

EDIT - It's also worth mentioning the Dev Copy is different from the standard and LE versions. It will have actual game features not available in the other copies.

So, I don't wanna read 16 pages with 50 posts on each one. How did they get this game to sell? Did they buy it from DreamTR? Can they say how much they bought it for? Are they profit sharing with DreamTR or did they buy the game outright?

Great questions.  Most of these will be explicitly addressed in the Kickstarter.

- Bought from Dreamtr
- Price is not disclosed
- No profit share, purchased outright

Will there be a way to have access to the unmodified game besides by winning the prototype? It would be kind of sad to just see it get lost in the void.
