Hi everyone my name is Ron. So I stumbled across a Nintendo CD64 plus disc drive this weekend. It came with some burnt disc's and I believe the original power supply. I was only able to get the menu screen to load once after cleaning the contacts. Everytime since it's either a black screen or sometimes a dark green. The cart I used was micromachines, I do not own Mario 64. Any suggestions? Thank's for your help.

Never messed with one of those, but at a glance on google it mentioned turning the n64 on with a cartridge in the 64 slot then once it boots remove it and place it in the CD64 slot. If you was able to accomplish this once after cleaning, you might try cleaning it again and check all the connections. Good luck with it.

...also welcome.

Hey, thanks for your help. I'll give it a try, I just think this machine is poorly made.
