internet says 190lbs. not sure I want to lug it up the stairs, but in the case I don’t, I’d like to give them an estimate if they list it for sale. thanks!

With two people these are easy to move with this strategy. Lay it face/bezel down then move so the center of mass is directed. Often people move these beasts oriented the way they are displayed and it feels too tippy.

When I moved we had a freaking gigantic man of a guy move my 36" by himself down my stairs. I thought he was gonna bust a vein in his head.

The key model for retro gamers for a sony CRT is the KV-36FV10.........or 32"...........Agree'd by many to be the best consumer grade SD CRT Sony made.

Get the model number first. It may be an HD version.

Like sign guy said make sure it’s SD And check the geometry. A lot of times the picture is bowed on the edges. I've gone through at least 4 and only one had a decent picture ("14 screen).

Yeah my 36" is just getting worse. I am sure recapping it will help but thats a whole other ball game. My fear of electric shock is strong with working on a CRT

I have a 27" that I bought back in the day. Still works great. Heavy bastard. But I can carry it around myself, no problem. Only minor hernias. I'd doubt 190 lbs is accurate for a 36".

Yeah $0 is the value. The difference between this one and every other CRT TV is that this one someone might want it and be willing to lug it up the stairs for you. Other TVs, you are on your own and have to pay $5-$10 at a disposal place.

I’ve watched a few videos on you tube taking apart the crt’s and I’m just thinking “ya, that’s out of my ball park”.

Im currently on the hunt for a nice regular tube tv with component input. If I can find one I’ll never mess with a trinitron again. Or a pvm/bvm or the grail sharp tv I think it was Japan only? The one they used to take screen shots of for Nintendo power?

Even if it's SD 36" I think is still to large if you are really going for the retro effect

I had to move a 37 incher and I'm betting 190 is damn close to the truth.

It wouldn't surprise me if the glass and vaccuum chamber structure doubles in thickness from 27" to 36".

Official weight on a 36" WEGA is 222 lbs, btw, so 190 lbs for a Trinitron is pretty lean by comparison!

(weight difference likely due to the WEGA having flat glass rather than taking advantage of curved glass)

I have a 32" Trinitron and it is heavy as shit. Takes 2 grown men to move it up a flight of stairs and I do not look forward to the day it's coming back down.

I agree, they are unfortunately not worth much if anything - as LCD's are so cheap and not 190lbs. I did pay $25 for mine, but she's a beaut I couldn't turn her down.

It's amazing to game on tho!!!

I was going to say, replacing the caps would be a nightmare on that. They are no fun to pull apart.

Sorry to pile on but you're quite possibly wrong. My Sony WEGA 32" is over 170 lbs. These things are no joke to move.

WEGAs are sound heavier than equivalent Trinitrons.  (my post above has the 222 lbs for the 36" WEGA vs the stated 190 lbs for a 36" trinitron -- unless the 190 is under-estimated)

I suspect any difference could be due to WEGAs being flat, so needing even thicker glass than a large traditional curved CRT.

oh; I had no idea. I just know that this WEGA nearly killed me when I had to move it.

Yeah, you know... when your guts squirt into your scrotum just a little bit instead of blowing completely through your abdomenal wall instead...
