Hello all. I'm looking into making some repro carts for graphics hacks that I've been doing for fun in my spare time using boards from Retrostage. I've made a few carts in the past using donors and had a few instances of getting everything completed only to find my cart doesn't work; ruining a donor and wasting six dollars worth of eproms. I want to build a test cart with sockets for the eproms to help prevent future disappointment. I've been buying chips from Digikey so searched their site for sockets that I could use to build my test cart and came up with the products linked below. Are these what im looking for? Any assistance is appreciated.

Edit: Unsure why but NA is automatically putting http://nintendoage.com/forum/... in front of the hyperlinks and I do not know how to make it not do that. To see the products I'm linking to delete that from the url.

The second link will work for 32 pin eproms. The important thing to keep in mind it the package type. 27C512 is a DIP-28 package, so the first link will not fit. The spacing found in the second link looks correct, I would base the spacing for the 28 pin based off of that.

I've never tried this, but I've always wanted to use one of those 'snappable' socket line dealios.

Just cut off any access, or cut off any amount you need, tack them through the vias, and there you go.

These work wonderfully. I've used these at work when we didn't have the correck socket size.

This one has the same 15.24mm spacing as the DIP32. Look OK to you?

Looks like it will work to me. I got my info from a 27C512 datasheet. Here is what I'm Basing my spacings off of.
