congrats on the additions!    I quoted the above because it looked like a Keith Parkinson (RIP) cover to me - one of the main D&D artists, including for NES Dragon Strike.

Quick search of his site proves it correct, but I guess its a wraparound cover then?   The full image from the website is great:

Thanks, I really like the art too.  This is actually a front flap that displays the full artwork when opened.  The art on the front is raised up from the box, which is a nice touch too.

I found a Pilotwings (n64) that is definitely going to grade under 50. I kind of want to add to the destruction so I can rival Paul.

How do I make my own threads? I have my own topics to bring up but this site lacks a clear and obvious "post" or "compose" option.

VGA has no explained criteria as to how they grade games and nobody knows who the fuck these people even are, if someone broke open a graded game and set it in once again it wouldn't surprise me one bit if it got a whole 'nother grade. Garage Joe enterprise with random numbers; "hmm that's 90", "yup looks like an 85... +".

I keep seeing 85 grade nes Contras sell for around 800ish recently. What is a 90 grade worth? Anyone own one?

Twisted Metal 2 is my favorite PS1 game of all-time and I've wanted a TM1 to go with it forever. Kinda fell into my lap how it happened and it graded out as I expected!

So sick Jone! I’m also a huge twisted metal fan. Here is my 85 TM2

Thanks for your rant with absolutely no facts to back it up. Feel free to post any other concerns you have with VGA here: http://nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=5&thr...  but make sure you have some sort of evidence to back up your claim. this thread is for showing off games for people who enjoy getting their games VGA graded.

Help me out why would you pay to get one of these graded?  Most are going to be fairly mint being a newer product and this just seems frivilous.  I collected coins for years and you would see the same thing people paying tons to grade something MS 69 or 70 when 90% of everything come out of the mint was 69 or 70, it really added zero value and was a waste of money.  Older coins weren't taken care of nor was the quality of the mint able to produce high grade items in 65+ so older items carry a huge premium with high grades. To me the same thing would hold true for older games as people tossed the cardboard packaging or just did not take care of it warranting a grade for it.  To me the grading industry is a little scummy, thats just my two cents.  Just curious why you graded a brand new item.

You mention "tossed the cardboard packaging" and then "brand new item". Do you mean brand new, as in freshly off the line, or brand new, as in sealed (including new old stock)? Not trying to start an argument, just curious about your thoughts, as this minor point seems to potentially expose a flaw in your understanding of VGA.

VGA won't issue non-qualified grades to non-new items.

Everybody wants to be the first to do something. But that really has nothing to with the VGA being scummy. Its obvious this will not command a premium outside of the cost of VGA.
