Got my sights set on some 5-7 pointers that definitely need to be taken down a notch: Bandai Golf, Commando, Dragon Spirit, Last Action Hero, Mickey Mousecapade, Ski or Die, Trojan, Challenger, and Yie Ar Kung Fu.

I won't be bothered if anyone else takes any of these out in the first 24 hours, I'm just trying to make my clears count before I leave for vacation in a couple days. I wonder what will be left when I get back on the 14th? XD

edit: Alright, first up is Yie Ar Kung Fu at midnight!

Dammit Michael, we're going after the same pool of games lol

I have them all lined up near the system already. I didn't think I had to prioritize Isolated Warrior but now I don't know what to do

Maybe split up Isloated Warrior, Battletoads, Palamedes, and Legendary Wings for 2 games/each of us?

I definitely want Battletoads and Palamedes because they're two of my favorites on the system. You can have Isolated Warrior and Legendary Wings.

I waited eagerly for months to do Battletoads again so you owe me

Awwww yeaaaah! I'll get to work as soon as I wake up. Gonna do Cliffhanger, Spelunker and Die Hard like every year. I might help out with some other games down the road as I usually knock down a few throughout the year, especially with the Fami games added this year.

I might also help out with Last Action Hero. Gotta have someone beat those crappy Sony Imagesoft titles. And maybe I could also do NARC

I'll be going for Werewolf: The Last Warrior, since I'm already on a quest for finding my way through it. Surprised to see it have a 9. Is this actually deemed to be tough game? Phew in that case. I thought I just sucked at it.

I'll be trying Holy Diver out too, although I just ordered it. However, since its a reproduction cartridge, and these reproshops are legendary slow + since its also going to be sent over seas to Europe, I'll be lucky getting it two days before this contests closes. I'll never the less be looking forward to be experiencing that game.

Crap I'm gonna be at work until 3am. Will there be anything left by the time I get home?

Glad to see someone else will handle Quest of the Avatar this year. Still plan on doing my annual Jan 1 playthrough of Castlevania 3 though!

It's not really how hard the game is, demand to beat it also comes into play.  Games that are no fun have higher scores cause no one wants to play them.  The score is based on how quickly it's been beat in years before.  So for example, me going for Zelda and Metroid on the first last two years didn't help their scores any.

Interesting selection of games from the famicom, I like that Goonies is in it. I only have the Vs. version so I'll have to try to find the rom of the normal one.

Also, Door door? That's not one you hear about much. Does it even end? I looked on wiki, it mentions it loops, but I can't be sure if that's the original or famicom version, they're not 100% directly faithful ports I know.

And for the FF games, we ARE allowed to use translated roms I take it? I once tried beating FFIII with just a walkthrough on my game ax, that was suck a fucking pain.

Oh yea, and hi. I'm back for a bit.

Door Door has 50 stages. Playing it a few times casually, I only got to somewhere around 12, maybe? No continues either. Without a doubt it should be deserving of those 10 points.

Yes, you can use translated roms. Although, I know some patches modify the game to include things like a run button which would not be cool. I know when I played FF3 recently I had to make sure that the patch I used didn't have anything like that. Of course, I'll make an exception for the Mother prototype since it was done by Nintendo.

Yep because I usually knock that one off real early on.  I'll be starting with my yearly usuals: Double Dragon 2, Monster in My Pocket, Super C, among a few others.

Don't neglect to claim it on the 30x30 thread, so you can get credit there too!

Same goes for Double Dragon 2, Super C, etc.

So I was going through the past years to figure out which games have been beaten by the same person every year since 2012. There's only five, including Dash Galaxy and Wayne Gretzky by you.

The others are Amagon, Baseball Simulator, and Cybernoid by me. I'll probably let someone else beat the latter two this year, but I'm still doing Amagon.

Interesting, I hadn't realized I had completed those two games every year.  I did have them as a kid, so I guess it's only fitting that I tackle them both again this year.
