Someone has to get the ball rolling so I thought I would make the first post here. We look forward to everyone's help and input. Hopefully this site will take NES collecting to a whole new level. Lots of work to do, but well worth the effort.

Yeah, LOTS of work to be done, but I've been working on it steadily as I can -- I've got some new features to add in the next few days (advanced search, etc).

Thanks, bro -- I'm extremely excited to finally make it a reality. I've been working away, and there are some really cool things coming in the near future. I still have a few hundred games to add to the database as well, but I wanted to get the foundation built first, then fill the data in. I'm always open for getting help! There's so much to do that I don't even know where to begin :-) One of the things greatly lacking is game legacy information as well as "how many players" (such as 1 player, 2 player, 2 player simultaneous, etc). If anyone wants to help with either of those two areas, I'd certainly appreciate it. I think Stan was going to help out with screenshots -- I believe he made it through the letter 'D'.

Glad for a quick online database with good functionality. The sorts are sublime. I've actually used the site twice so far for informational purposes. I'm confused by the Legacy Information category...

The Legacy Information category will hold data that relates to the game's historical timeline. In other words, if the game release for the NES was originally released as a coin-op arcade game first, it will indicate this. It will also eventually show other versions, systems, etc, the game was released on. This is an area that is completely lacking at present. In fact, I will likely be removing it until I can flesh it out or get some help.

Later today or tomorrow I will be releasing the advanced search, which allows for cookie-based "sticky" filters (all searches adhere to your personal preferences, etc) and a ton of other options to make finding precise information quickly and painlessly. There are going to be so many games from so many regions, that I can see users not wanting to display search results for all regions, etc.

Site looking great, thought I would take the change to register right at once. Good luck with the efforts to come. Database on rarity is mighty sweet! Keep up the good work.

Lol, was this NA's first thread? I love how cracked8ball is one of the very first members and has like 8 posts. Also, funny to see Hounder....in an ironic way.

Yep I can always tell when I see Hounder's awesome avatar that it's an old thread being bumped. Pretty funny and cool that someone actually looked it up for a bump though!

I actually searched my name and this was the oldest one that came up! And it must have been one of NGD's first postings.

Technically, this is the 2nd thread. I deleted my first thread, which was to test if the forums worked! I think NGD was the only person to post on that thread.
