Just purchased an Xbox dev kit and was going through the files and found two separate xbe binary files titles spark. Game is something I have never seen or heard of. In the system was a flat out disc review from 2005 so I am thinking this is the era. Game play is very buggy and incomplete but similar to gta open world and Simpsons hit and run. There's some other cool stuff on the system as well, but the South Park takes the cake! Anyone know of a cancelled South Park?

Can't seem to find any info, I wonder who developed it? Around that time Acclaim was publishing them (Before MS studios started publishing them on the 360).

If you got any pics or vids of the game, would be cool to see! Awesome find, man!

I'll see about getting the files off the system in the next week or so for back up purposes.
The game is very incomplete and buggy as hell but I was able to drive around an open world in a hummer type car and I was told to ask chef about his balls. Characters I have seen so far are Stan Kyle and Cartman.

The system also has a very very very very early build of a game called "cavegirl" also no info, but the silhouette of the woman that runs around has huge ta-tas. No colors and controls just move around and jump. I'll see if I can grab some pictures of everything. Also a controlable cinema of Happy Feet penguin game (also no mention of one being developed for Xbox.

How would one remove files from an xbox dev kit? I've searched high and low.

Oh wow, that South Park game looks really sweet. It's like a South Park's Hit & Run. I wonder why it was scrapped... or if it actually is a proto of that released game where you throw snowballs at turkeys...

I've read the assembler thread, awesome that borman helped you getting the files off so that they were backed up!

I hope eventually we can find out more info on this, this is so awesome!

Those pictures are awesome. Looked like it could have been a cool open world game with some great mini games. It's a shame it had to be abandoned... along with the original xbox. I still hate that microsoft dropped it so quickly while the PS2 went on for so many years after

Qixmaster, not sure if this is you in the vid or if you even want me to post this, but there is a great breakdown of what I am assuming is the same game. (At least from looks) It's one buggy, messed up, game To bad it never happened!

Edit: It appears the game they show in this video is the same, but way more unfished then your version. The cutscene is not even close to being finished like yours.

Edit, edit: Question Qixmaster. Could you complete the first level in his house? It bugs me they could never grab the shoe to complete it so they could only run around. Thanks for sharing!

That is the same exact Xbox that qixmaster had. I now own the Xbox, and that footage is lacking in a lot of ways. I am working on a much more comprehensive video. There are two different versions of the cutscene available.

And I was able to complete the first house level with no issues using some other stuff. I've also activated some of the parts that follow after it. I have a video up as a preview for my Patreon supporters, but the longer video will take, well, longer.

Dang, AMAZING! Thanks for doing that! Can't wait to see more.

On a side note how do you run across this type of proto? Did you know people that offered it to you to sell?

Anyways, AWESOME!

This would have been really cool to have on the PS2. HUGE South Park fan myself. Is it fully playable meaning is the game finished, or only a couple of missions? Hope to be able to try this out one day. Thanks for posting it!

Not even close unfortunately. This is the most complete thing in the game. Even the PS2 build wasn't done, although I havent found that yet.
