But, if we're making jokes, and including SNES, how about Home Improvement the game?

WTF was that all about? Dinosaurs? Even the Nintendo Power review said that the game lacked the humor that made the TV show so great.

If we're talking the series and not one particular movie, Friday the 13th follows the series formula in general. Bunch of counselors, bunch of kids, isolated camp, Jason jump scares.

Nightmare on Elm Street kind of follows the third movie, Dream Warriors. Group of kids with different abilities, gaining powers in the dream world.

I was thinking about that.  But seriously you can basically play Die Hard exactly like it is from the movie, including the jump thru the window at the end.  Its fantastic.  Also New Ghostbusters II not only has most of the music but follows the movie exactly, what else could you want?  Dont say 2 player though...

I immediately thought of Die Hard. It even had foot health for extra realism! ]]>

You know what game nails it? Not NES, but the computer version (like Atari XL) of Goonies.

First scene, you are sneaking into the old restaurant. Second scene, get past the large rock boobie traps. Then pipes under the country club. Later there's a bone organ. Then a water slide. Then a pirate ship.
And Porkys on Atari.
