Is there even an actual prototype of Action 52? I can't see why one would exist, Action 52 pretty much IS a proto. Greg Pabich does indeed one a true prototype of Action 52 that he was given by Vince Perri, himself. It has completely different menus (ones that are directly ripped from a 52-in-1 pirate cartridge) , a completely different Cheetahmen game (Which he sells on his website under the title, Cheetahmen: The Creation).

True protos have a BLUE pcb. The only other known one we've found belonged to a Active Enterprises staff member who was selling it on eBay for nearly 100K with a ton of original Action 52 promotional items.

The black version is superior, however, as both that I've played allow you to play a couple of the games that would not boot up on the regular release.
