I also had a Solomon's Key 2 proto around the same time, it is dumped and floating around. I posted screenshots of all the text differences on theredeye.net back in 2001, but that page is long gone. ]]>

Don't worry dude, we dump all our protos as soon as we get them.

Qix and Herb:  Yeah, the Solomon's Key 2 is definitely a different build than the PAL release and different than Fire and Ice, I noticed some text differences in the first few seconds of game play (beginning spelled "biginning").  Not sure how different, but different.

As far as I know, there are maybe 3-4 Solomon's Key 2 protos floating around that are known, a few different labels and from a few different regions.  Even as a "common" proto, 1 in 5 is still rare as balls. There is another Caveman Ninja proto with the same label as ours, except it is PAL and the label is upside down

I'll get these guys dumped and upload some shots of interesting gameplay stuffs this weekend, thanks for checking out the thread!

so would Ikari Warriors 2 be a famicom proto plugged into a converter or just a famicom board that the company had left over which they use?

maybe that Rodland proto still exists in some form or another and they just used the actual shell and not the board.... although highly unlikely I'd rather think that then the obvious

anways awesome to hear that everything worked out with them arriving ]]>
