Does anyone know for a certainty what the printing history of Zelda 2 was with regard to the seals?

I ask because the one that I've owned since childhood, which was definitely bought in 88/89 has a round grey seal on the box and a white oval seal on the cartridge. (And, don't try to tell me it's a mismatch, because I'm a personal witness to chain of custody and it's not. I've had it since it was new.)

A google image search just made this more confusing, because I'm seeing all of: grey round seals; white round seals; and white oval seals. I thought that the white round seal came inbetween the grey round and white oval?
