Made quite a few games that turned out much better, but that was always a classic. ]]>

My first game (when i was like 12 years old) was a text based adventure about visiting a friends' house, going upstairs and petting their dog written in qbasic, lol

Thats  so funny!  My first game was I was a lot younger was written in QBASIC as well.  I just found the folder with my graphics layouts and a copy of all the code. It was printed in like a 5 font though lol.
I got my start in QBasic. I actually think there are quite a few retro coders who grew up on some form of basic, and quite a few of those were QBasic users.   My oldest timestamped QBasic file is from 1997, haha, a few months after I started taking lessons...

I even did a horse racing game with sprites. I was so proud of that one

EDIT: Didn't see that post was already 2 months old   - Oh well ]]>

Does the game, written in Family BASIC, technically be considered homebrew?.. I can't imagine why not. As long as the software was written from the ground up.
