You know the other cool thing? This is a super low response time gaming display (4ms or less, 165hz) and holy shit was I kicking ass in Castlevania. I could just FEEL how much more responsive it was compared to using my old toaster via RCA cables to my TV.

720 divides evenly into 1440p exactly twice so I imagine it will look fabulous. Please report back your findings after you test it.

Yes, it does look fabulous. My god does it look fabulous. So many little details about castlevania I never noticed before. ]]>

I know this doesn't address your question, but similarly, I tried to play it on my projector, and it wouldn't work :/

What kind of projector?  Looks impressive on my Epson 8350 at 120"...really impressive.   ]]>

Ill let you know. How does the AVS handle 16:9 ratio? Will I get black bars or a stretch screen? I heard it does 5:3 which is a bit weird. The 3:3, 4:3, and 5:3 settings are pixel aspect, not screen aspect. ]]>

Will everything work good with this? I saw Bunnyboy's thread about 4k TVs, but havent seen anyone say anything about 1440p or computer monitors. The monitor has built in speakers(They suck but would work I guess) so that is also very nice. It also has one of the lowest response times of any IPS display on the market, so Im curious if it will help with lag/delay in upscaling to 1440p.

Anyone tried playing the AVS on a IPS monitor and know if I will run into any issues? ]]>
