the high end stuff is usually what radically fluctuates. the low end moves very slowly, it kinda slogs around at the bottom, moving up before the holidays and after tax season, down during the summer.

it's def worth the discussion, but i don't know what kind of conclusions you can draw from it. yr gonna buy games, yr gonna sell games, but more important- yr gonna play games. and that's a +1 for any NES fan. ]]>

we're also trending towards 'emotionally fragile.'

+1 for bone.

I do think the SE sale brought alot of new collectors out of the wood-work, so your theory isn't totally wrong, IMO, just a little exagerated maybe, but who the hell knows, maybe the sky falls tomorrow

alright fair enough, i guess we'll see, like i said jone probably right, just putting it out there for the sake of putting it out there.

and yep you're right zi, im pretty emotionally fragile, -1 for me i guess right? glad your keeping score there...

i think the recent rise in nes value has been like a bubble, being fueled by sales of SE and NWC carts. everyone was selling their nintendo stuff like they were pure gold. i think the nes bubble is finally bursting and we will see a continue decline in prices.

so its not really a summer slump as it is a bubble bursting IMO. im definitely gonna monitor this stuff tho, gives me more of a purpose to be on here

Great idea, the NES bubble must have bursted already, that's why MB sold his SE Cart for $2200 last night when the highest sale I ever remember seeing was in the $1700-$1800 range.

Just take our advice here, many of us have been around longer than you and we see these fluctuations all the time.  Prices go up and down like clockwork, you'll see huge spikes in late November through tax season when everyone has money to spend.

WORD!  I would agree with all of Jonas's posts in this thread.  We have this discussion every year this time of year like clockwork.  Nothing new.  Although the lows may be a little lower this year just because of the horrible state of the economy.
