Wheres the game?  Show me the chip date!

NESGansta I think had every copy of 3 screw Stinger and IIRC they all had the same chip date code.

The person I sold it to has it in storage, so it won't be opened any time soon unfortunately. That would be the real tell.

Doesn't Ferris have one?

Same with the 3 screw stinger. Theres no proof it was reprinted again after the initial 5 screw run.

The Rev-A non-hangtab box that I used to own isn't enough proof?

I have seen enough Tiger Heli and Goonies II 5 screws to personally feel they are not rare at all.

I don't remember Tiger Heli, but Goonies II I had statistical proof it was rarer. I could dump it down to a 2, but I think it's harder to find in the wild than that. Let's say eBay had 100 listings for Goonies II, one of those was going to be a 5 screw, maybe two tops, back when I noticed all this. To me, that's enough scarcity to bump it up.

So rarity is based on finding something in the wild? How subjective can a scale become. Good grief. If I can find multiple copies of both of those on ebay at any given time with not a huge value difference I don't see it as rare.
ebay isn't "in the wild", and while "able to find any time" may not mean "hard to find", 2 out of 100 is still a pretty big difference. ]]>

Any of these that aren't factory refurb's aren't rare I'd say but when it comes to the harder to find versions Tiger Heli is considerably less common as a 5 screw. That or I just haven't had luck finding a five! ]]>

eBay can't be the only measure, obviously, but I think there's a list on NA somewhere on what members own what variants. The one thing (and arguably most important) that can't be measured easily is how many are in the wild. Think people would go out of their way enough to report this info when they come by it? Shit. Idk. That's probably asking too much. But it would be bad ass.

Either way, without knowing the round about totals of each title released, it will be difficult. ]]>

ALLLLLLLLLLSO. I really really really really really would like to see 3 screw DKMath and Stinger off the list. These are are refurbs. All the 3 Screw DKMaths ive seen were printed in mid 86, which means it was only printed once. Same with the 3 screw stinger. Theres no proof it was reprinted again after the initial 5 screw run.

AND whats this 3 screw Soccer? Wasn't the one that was found canadian? I would ALSO bet that one was also not reprinted, else we would see more of them. All the rare 3 screw black box games were all reprinted around xmas time of 87. Gyromite, Volleyball, DK, and DKJr come to mind. ]]>

This is my scale, I'll do what I want over here, thank you. Lol.

Well then! Fair enough. :-)
