Once I got to the 7th frame I had to break from guill's sequence... shot 2 just wasn't working, and I was using an emulator so I kept doing it over using save states to confirm. However, I tweaked the sequence successfully to get a perfect game. I used 111,222,122,211. Maybe it's because I put in initials AAA? Otherwise all other conditions the same. Thanks guill, and btw nice job cracking the secret to this game! ]]> Nesrulers contest presents: Championship Bowling http://nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=31&threadid=32211 2010-04-27T01:53:30 -05.00 nesruler22 32 Originally posted by: guillavoie

My pleasure guys.
I wanted to share it, but I could not reveal this before the end of the contest

I gave it a try this afternoon, and it worked like a charm. I had been trying from only spot 1 with lots of curve and max power throughout the contest with the blonde guy with an 11 lb. ball and had a fair amount of success, but just couldn't get a perfect game.

Here's the exact combination I used, try it and you'll probably get a perfect game:
Lady with the 7 lbs ball (to be sure, name it "gui", maybe it plays in randomness, but I doubt.)

I'm only using two kind of throws.

Shot 1 = Place the player on the right side of the lane, exactly at the left of the second dot from the right. Perform a maximum curve to the left, and get maximum power.
If your power gauge is 1 away of the maximum, you'll still get a strike.
A less curvy shot will work too, but not a light curve.

Shot 2: Place the player on the left side of the lane, exactly on the third dot from the left. You should have the dot directly over your player.
Perform a very light curve to the right, and get maximum power.
1 away of max power will work as well.

Frame 1 = Shot 1
Frame 2 = Shot 1
Frame 3 = Shot 1
Frame 4 = Shot 2
Frame 5 = Shot 2
Frame 6 = Shot 2
Frame 7 = Shot 2
Frame 8 = Shot 1
Frame 9 = Shot 2
Frame 10 a = Shot 2
Frame 10 b = Shot 1
Frame 10 c = Shot 2

If you do it like I said, you'll get a perfect game every time, on lane 1.

Cool thx for posting the exact sequence, I'll give it a try

Another perfect game, anybody?
Spent a half hr or so trying to identify the correct sequence ( I used the white dude) but no success. I am still convinced there is, at the very least, an element of randomness in the success of a given throw. I've kept logs and on numerous occasions had different outcomes for the same exact position, power, and curve on the first frame. Probably shoulda tried the lady bowler since you had success with it but no time... ah well. I was pretty happy with my score though, didn't think i'd get even that much. Thanks for the tips guill and great job everyone!
