what is the original style famicom?, is that the red and white colored "family computer"?

Yeah, but if you hold out and keep your eyes peeled, you should be able to snag an AV Famicom on eBay for about $50... then add another $50-ish for shipping for a total of about $100 shipped, which is not too bad at all.

If you're patient, you can get an original style Famicom for about $30 (that's what I gave for mine). An AV Famicom, on the other hand, can top $100. A Super Famicom normally gets about $35-$45. A Super Famicom Jr. can get as high as $80-$100.
