Scoreboard updated.

pegboy and CZroe, unfortunately I can not count your scores, but I did include them in the board just to give them props.  Since neither of you is a factor in the standings I had to make the decision to stand by the rules.
I didn't see a time zone specified and deliberately waited until almost the last moment Pacific time to even pick up the controller, but I was obviously not taking it seriously and just showing off.

If you want you can replace my entry with a note about Ichinisan's 99,999 score even though he excused himself.   I was embarrassed as he watched me play because I knew I couldn't even remotely compare.

Our room mate is also very good (probably better than me). This whole house is full of TA players that could win this thread! Sorry, Kraken.   ]]>

Also, only get 2 or 3 speedups and avoid additional ones at all cost.  When the game starts lagging you really have to be careful because you can easily crash into something once the slowdown suddenly vanishes.

Pretty much everytime I died it was from this... you'd gun and enemy, slowness would stop completely, and I'd go flying into a wall because the controls become too sensitive with too many speed upgrades. I also don't own a copy of this game so I had to use my Logitech controller which has a shit d-pad. I also found the game slow paced even when there is a lot of enemies on the screen if that makes sense. Scroll speed I guess.  ]]>

If I had more time with this game Id probably be able to do much better. A couple runs and I beat the second boss already. Normal Difficulty isnt too bad. When does this game ramp up? What stage? The second half of the game definately picks up considerably in difficulty (Stages 5,6,7 especially).  And there is also a second loop to complete where pretty much every stage is hard but the late stages become a nightmare.  Finally there is also the "pro difficulty" if you really want to abuse yourself (Requires starting the game on hard, beat the first loop and the second loop will be pro difficulty).

Basically my advice is to get the red powerup weapon (DNA laser) and never get any other weapon powerups once you have it.  Also, only get 2 or 3 speedups and avoid additional ones at all cost.  When the game starts lagging you really have to be careful because you can easily crash into something once the slowdown suddenly vanishes.
