The "source" as said in the NESDev section is just the chunks of files, as far as I know there's no source. You can make a source with 6502d, but even then uncommented source doesn't get you far either, you still have to figure out how it works, subroutines, etc.

I doubt anyone will do this, nobody even has a source with comments. It'd be probably a bigger undertaking than making your own game.

Actually we do have the source code, but that still doesn't make it easy or even worthwhile. Just appreciate this for what it is, there is no shortage of video games out there you haven't played yet.
