Beyond a bad solder joint on the port, or something conductive shorting the audio output, I wouldn't bother trying to fix it. Just find a cosmetically damaged N64 and swap the board.

i've got more n64s. was just wondering if anyone knew a way to fix it. ive never heard of a problem like this (or really any problems with the 64, they always seem to work great  ]]>
