I'm looking for some method for music in the code NESASM (simple, looped melodies in the background). Playing NSF is problematic, because I noticed the large size even simple NSF files exported from FamiTracker.
I did own, very simple method to anything played in the demo, it works, but I am interested in other ways of music in the code.
Famitone2 would be the easiest.
https://shiru.untergrund.net/code.shtmlYou could check out the Nerdy Nights Tutorials to get you started making your own music code.
There are several music source codes listed over in the documents section of Romhacking.net.
How does the arpeggio effect and how to obtain it in the code? Would it be the possibility of adding some simple arpeggio effect to the code that I posted above?
Arpeggio is a rapid change in note frequencies to simulate a chord. Some like to switch notes every frame. To code it, you just need to store the base note, and keep track of your offset, and reference that to a pattern that you use to get a new note every frame (relative to the base note).
