I want to create my own Zelda like games where he moves through map to caves and other other levels.
Is there a map creator for this?
Level Editors?
If not can i use the Zekda level and map editors?
I'd suggest learning how to program in C on a PC first. Then you'll have enough experience to be able to understand 1. the explanations in a 6502 tutorial and 2. what a game loop looks like.
If you're not ready for that, I'd suggest getting an editor from romhacking.net or zophar.net.
I'd actually just stick with learning the 6502, and create NES ROM level editors, because it's a lot easier, in my opinion, since you're only required to learn one language. Many people totally disagree with me, but that's just my opinion.
Do you know of any that have the source codes in C or ++?
IMO, levels are a very personal thing. Since you are the one coding the game engine, you should come up with a format that is easy for your engine to work with.
If you just use someone else's format, you'll end up wasting a lot of time figuring out how to work with their format, and may not come up with an optimum solution.
I think you should understand how such a game works first, and then create your own level format, that works best with the engine you created.
