I have Atari Roots, the Rodney Zakk's book. However I was wondering if there are other books which deal more with games for the 6502.
I'm more interested in sound, but games use sound and the gamepads/joystick.
Thanks,
T
I don't know if books are the way to go. I think you would be better off just reading some stuff on a romhacking site. Romhacking dot net is a great place to find out how certain games operate. And besides, I don't know of too many 6502 related books. I, myself, stick with the free knowledge provided on the internet. If you're looking for game engine concepts, the site I mentioned is a pretty good place. But if you're looking for how exactly to tell the NES to do things, I don't know of any book about that. Your best option is pretty much what tutorials you can find online, such as NEStech, or Brad Taylor's sound doc.
